Everyone here knows that I love these two queens and I’m in a soft mood today so have some headcanons for Aragon and Cleves friendship
Aragon and Cleves friendship was one of the first friendships to develop, and started when Cleves asked could she go with Aragon to Sunday mass
(Aragon was very surprised since Cleves had never mentioned her religion before that, but was delighted to know that there was another catholic among the queens.)
Cleves was happy because she’s secretly one of the most social queens and didn’t want to go to mass alone
At first Aragon was actually taken aback by how chill and respectful Cleves was to her. She’d gone through a week of Boleyn being sarcastic every second of the day to her, so to have someone who was genuinely trying to strike up a friendship surprised her.
After that they mutually agreed to go to mass together every week, and their relationship just sort of grew from there
Sometimes when Aragon is missing Mary, Cleves sits with her and talks about the relationship that she had with her step-daughter and some of her memories.
The first time that Cleves told Aragon all about Mary’s coronation, Aragon burst out into tears.
Cleves and Aragon are each other’s personal hype women 24/7

(In all seriousness, Aragon is constantly complimenting Cleves on her appearance and outfits, because she’s worried that Cleves might believe the awful things that people said about her appearance and she’s determined to make sure Cleves knows how amazing she is)
They love to link arms with one another when they’re walking (the other queens thinks it makes them look like old women,,,until they remember that Cleves and Aragon ARE the oldest queens)
They LOVE cooking shows and always watch them together
They especially love the great British bake off
They’re actually both really good cooks, so if they’ve got the flat to themselves they’ll definitely make something nice together
They’re the type of friends who consider a good time to be sitting on their phones in the same room, sending each other funny videos on WhatsApp
THEY! HAVE! SO! MUCH! MUTAL! RESPECT! FOR! ONE! ANOTHER!
Sometimes they,,,forget that they don’t actually speak each other’s native languages
“Catherine, is there any word for Waltersobchakeit in English?” *Aragon.exe has stopped working*
Cleves teaches Aragon that winning every argument isn’t always worth it, while Aragon teaches Cleves that being passive and chill isn’t always the best option
like I’ve said before, Cleves is that person who goes shopping and only buys a Starbucks for herself but tonnes of gifts for everyone else, including Aragon
They always have the best advice for one another??? Like Cleves could go to Aragon about ANYTHING and Aragon would instantly know what to tell her, and vice versa
Please don’t come for me I’m just in a soft mood and I’m also half delirious from the flu but I just,,,love soft Aragon and Cleves so much okay?
