Perhaps it’s the fact she has died before, pulled herself back from the dead, or perhaps it’s the fact she’s the one that got away. She knew the swamp better than he did, even if he’d been stalking her for weeks. Carefully plotting how and when he would catch her. Wonders if she knows who he is, if she knows he can’t hurt her here, not without rising suspicion. He listens to her words, eyes flickering across her features as he carefully constructs his next lie. “from what I’ve heard you know that better than anyone. Delia said you had the power of...” Hank takes a moment to pause, as if the word is on the tip of his tongue, as if he’s trying to remember. “- - resurgence right?”

FIONA ! 

She would rather set herself on fire than end up alone in the same room with her son-in-law. It’s a risk she runs every time she drops in, one that usually does come to pass because Delia goes to bed at the same hour as any self-respecting 85-year-old woman, and it’s just her luck that Hank fucking Foxx is just as much a night owl as Fiona herself. “Oh, same reason as always. To make you miserable.” Her fault for coming down to the liquor cabinet, for failing to properly stock up on bourbon, for leaving the comfort of her own room (and it is always her room, even when she is not there). “Delia said you’ve been traveling.” Drink poured, she swirls the lowball glass in her palm, watches the amber liquid whoosh around. “What’s it going to take to get you to stay gone?”

                              Other people may have been scared of her, Cordelia, or even the girls. They had some deep rooted fear of the SUPREME. He refuses to be intimidated by her. “I’ve been working.” Eyes flicker to the drink in her hand and he makes a point not to comment, rolling his eyes. “  What’s your excuse?” He snaps back, if he knew better, or well... If he were smarter, he would leave it alone, go back to his room, his wife... Leave the fight for another day, but he’s stubborn, and he isn’t going to take this from her, not in his own home. “I’m not going anywhere, UNLIKE YOU, I wouldn’t do that to Delia.”

                            “Why are you here?” He doesn’t try to hold his tongue, not when Delia isn’t in the room, and even sometimes when she is he doesn’t hold back. His words laced with venom. He doesn’t like her, though he’s tried to be civil, his distaste is caused more by his paranoia, the fact Fiona K N O W S something isn’t right with him. She knows he’s a liar. ( takes one to know one after all. )  It forces him to become defensive when she’s around.
