You were a coworker of Albert, and you both have met up for a statewide meeting. It was in new york, and you had to stay in a hotel together.
However, considering you both were teachers and didn’t have a high salary, you had your share a room. No problem, right? You both had expected being in separate beds, but there was only one!
“Oh, damnit.”
You groaned, looking at the single bed , and then at the man next to you.
“Language “
He teased, wagging a finger in front of your face before setting down his bag. he had inly brought a few things, a change of clothes, toothbrush, socks, essentials.
“Well, um, what are we gonna do..? Sleep together.?”
you felt a slight blush creep onto your cheeks at the suggestion, to be honest, sleeping with him would be *extremely* nice.
“As long as you are ok with it”
He said matter-of-factly, pushing his glasses up with a finger.
“Sure! I don’t mind..”
you stumbled backwards, grabbing your duffel bag and heading into the bathroom to change.
You walked out a few minutes later wearing your pajamas, baggy pants with a graphic tee. Nothing special, just your usual. You notice that Albert had changed also, now wearing a baggy tee that read ‘teacher of the year’ with a clipart of a trophy. He had paired it with red flannel pants and gray socks. By now, it was late.
“Wanna go to bed..?” You suggest, sitting down on the edge of the mattress,.
He says nothing, just nods.
Once you two were together, you blush slightly and decide to ask a question.
“I got a question…”
“Yes?”
“Do ya like anyone right now?”
He freezes, shocked before his face turns a pale red.
“Well, actually yes. I do.”
He mumbles out looking away from you.
You pause, this could be your chance!
“Same. Who is it? I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours”
“What? Um..sure..”
“On 3.”
“1”
“2”
“3”
You both say the same word
“You!”
He freezes. ‘Oh my god i just said that’
You look at him.
“Really..?”
He blushes
“Yes..”
You press a quick kiss to his cheek
“Well, that makes two of us..!”
He presses his hand to the spot where your lips grazed his cheek.
The past few days have been pretty busy, so I haven't had much extra time lately.

I'm still working on the café scene! A lot happens here, so you'll probably be seeing this background until you're tired of it.
A few other characters will likely need new sprites, along with some additional backgrounds. I'm still experimenting with these scenes to see what works best.
I think I've mentioned this before, but I like testing unfinished backgrounds and sprites first to see if they fit the scene I'm imagining. A lot of the time I end up discarding them, which saves me from spending hours finishing artwork that might never be used.
That said... I have a feeling many of you are going to love the café scenes ouo

I wanted to do a voice over/voice acting video for fun and for the fans where I answer the questions in a soft voice. Cole first discovered Cloche on the same platform as Ichiban. Cole had just clicked off one of Ichiban’s recent videos, he didn’t watch Ichiban out of enjoyment but simply for the know-how. Regardless of form, even if the media is rather low-brow, such culture is knowledge to be categorized in files of his mind. Then, he saw her. A new cosplayer whose viewership and subscriber count was slowly climbing up the ranks. He initially dismissed her as just another clout-chaser selling their looks, but to truly confirm his suspicions, he had to watch the stream for himself. Her content was not at all what he expected— well, maybe he did expect the gimmick of Cloche playing the “cheerful girlfriend” for her lonely viewers, but he was caught off guard by her eloquence.
There was a way Cloche handled rude comments and alluded to great literary works, even using terms that hinted at higher education— particularly in law and philosophy. The juxtaposition of someone with so much potential, selling herself short as nothing but a body to be dressed was intriguing. Cole wanted to know more. How can someone as pragmatic as him be so generous? Was it for coin? Validation? Cole projects his own cynicism on to Cloche and thinks he knows the true her— the Cloche that grimaced milliseconds before every practiced smile for the camera.
Cloche’ impressions on Cole
Another job, another damn job to take on top of fixing the manimal debacle. To support Cloche’ dreams of stardom over going into law, she took up a position at the zoo. Somehow, her efforts into fixing her 1-in-a-million mistake was misconstrued into her being some sort of animal whisperer. Well, there’s worse reputations and she hopes this doesn’t bleed into her streamer reputation
It’s just a fish, she’d think as she started the investigation. Whether the fish had been an animal or manimal didn’t matter to her— as it would be a casualty and she’d already helped so many other manimals! Then, he appeared— a black panther. Cloche didn’t care much for the manimals, save for a soft spot of a certain wolf and bull, but this one was different. Cole was well spoken, and intelligent. Sure, he was rough around the edges with his scathing insults, but he gave off the impression that he knew when to hold his tongue in public. Cloche liked that, finding it very attractive. Finally, someone who knows how to put on a show.
Dynamic
Cole fell for Cloche’ mask— the way she can perk up after every obstacle is oddly enchanting. In turn, not wanting to ruin Cole’s perception of her, Cloche dials up her performance around him. Whenever Cloche slips up, Cole rushes in to reassure her that she can do no harm and would never mean to hurt anyone, even if she has ill will. She is put on a pedestal for Cole’s inability to grasp the grace she gives to others. He thinks she must be inherently selfless to put others above herself.
As tiring as it is to live up to Cole’s expectations of her, Cloche genuinely doesn’t want to lose Cole. It’s maddening when he voices a sentiment she’s too scared to say, and she has to play the contrarian. Her self loathing takes over to the point she thinks her real self is inherently unlovable, so she wants to keep the only person willing to put up with her.
Just as Cloche plays nice, Cole does his best to live up to Cloche’ expectations of him too. She likes a well-learned and sophisticated man? Sure, he can brush up on more trivia and etiquette. Just ignore his tie. He’s as scared that the moment he messes up, Cloche will cut him off like split ends. He’s heard it before, and even seen it— that once a manimal is fully cured of his curse, she’ll ghost them like they never met. That cold-bloodedness was thrilling, though he’d never want to be on the receiving end of it.
What Kind of Fan is Cole?
Oshikatsu to the max— he is hustling to maintain his streamer Cloche and regular Cloche shrine. He’s scouring EBay, YahooAuctions for any obscure Cloche merch. Sure, she doesn’t have officialized pins or anything, but the handmade ones she shipped out for raffle prizes mean everything. They were one of a kind, not the manufactured garbage of today’s big streamers working with conglomerates.
Cole started out as a lurker until he got envious of Cloche responding to other people’s comments. Since then, he reached out and even splurged for a couple of superchats to ask very… odd questions. It’s hard for Cole to really restrain himself in the comments, he’s caught between wanting to stay lowkey yet wanting to turn Cloche’ comment section into a wall of praise— all just to see that cute look of awe. Totally not to wash out everyone else’s comments.
Cole totally uses the excuse of knowing she’s a streamer to coerce her into having him around for protection. Her subscriber count is too small to reach any stalkers? Oh please, she’s already caught one.
Rivals
- Volks: Probably the first person Cloche has let her guard down around. Something about his broodiness allows her to let go of niceties and even give him a reality check. Cloche seems so happy around Volks, even when he’s grumbling awkward compliments that Cole could match, tenfold. Cole doesn’t like that Cloche is beckoning Volks to cosplay with her, just cause he’s a model.
- Garret: Cole already didn’t like Garret and it doesn’t help that Garret has something that he seems to be missing. When Cole sees Cloche with the giant oaf, she seems… shy. She’s almost girlish around him, and not in the same way she’d flash a smile and giggle for the sake of pleasantries. It’s like when she’s around Garret, the world is suddenly new again. Cole sees the way Garret greets Cloche with open arms, even clueless of the way Cloche looks up to him. Is it the muscles? That optimistic, carefree attitude? Maybe the accent.
