Before Oliver ends up shooting one of us, this is just something I’m writing down, not calling anyone out but if you start sweating while reading this then……………..hi.
It must be quite annoying for the band to state that they are not going pop but still see fans begging them not to go pop. If you haven’t read Oliver’s latest interview, do it!!! Bring Me have a unique talent imo and that is creating a new sound, there’s a whole orchestra and violin in Doomed and I haven’t seen anybody complain abou that. Why? You have to ‘unbox’ to hear all of that (S/O to the guy Jordan retweeted on YouTube for that).
Back to the interview, Oliver wants a challenge to reach people who aren’t necessarily rock fans or a fan of any genre near that, but will love bmth’s music. When he said ‘mainstream’ he doesn’t mean being ‘pop’, I believe he means something new and something that will grab good attention. The media never bother to read interviews from his or any of the bands words, big up to Rock Feed for twisting Oliver’s words and causing unnecessary worry to many fans. Never did the band once say they’re going pop, Jordan has been saying this since 2016. It is now 2018 and he’s still saying it because people are choosing to tune it out and cause themselves stress for some reason…….
I suggest everyone who is worrying to just wait for a single to be released (or listen to Jordan lol). If you don’t like it, you literally don’t have to. You don’t even have to comment on it! Just have your opinion and go. When the album drops and you don’t like, do all of the above because no one but yourself is making you listen or like it. They’ve got millions of support to worry about one little comment. At the end of the day, they’re happy with themselves and love their fans.
