do you have to be 17+ to apply?
Nope. The NC17 rating is just to let people know that we have no control over the general content on the board. Sex, drug abuse, and many other "touchy" topics will be discussed.
However, I believe the TOS states you must be 13 years of age to join the board in general, so just keep that in mind.

I believe we are waiting until the afternoon to open. I am unsure of a specific time as of right now. We just figured it would be silly to open when a lot of people are at work or school in the morning.

Yes, you do have to wait.
Honestly? It is disrespectful to the admin to register. I don’t want to sound rude here and I have been biting my tongue about the situation, but I do not know any sites that would allow someone to register early just because they went looking for the link. Fragile Bird is not any different.

i am so excited for you guys to open to the public. i was always so interested in fragile bird but i never had the time, and i (this is pretty shallow of me) also was really disappointed when it wasn't on jcink before. but i always stalked it like crazy and i cannot wait for you guys to open and ugh EXCITEMENT!
Lubi and I were not familiar with Jcink so that was what we stuck with Invisionfree the first time around! This time around Lubi and I both had joined Jcink sites as members and we were a little more familiar with the whole thing, which made the jump a lot easier. Also, our third admin (Bree) has been an admin on Jcink before so that helped us out a lot. I think I speak for Lubi as well when I say that we are really happy with the change of pace. :)

It was supposed to be this weekend, but we're not quite done! We want to make this as perfect as possible. So, please stay tuned for an opening date. I know we are going to allow our returning members to join first in the form of a soft opening to allow them to settle in before the new rush. So, just hang right and stay tuned.
curious about your rules on it--can/will players ever be attacked? sorry if that's an ignorant question, i haven't joined a murder mystery rp before but i think it'd be fun if players were actually in danger of being targeted (even killed?). though i guess that'd depend on how the killer chooses too since s/he has only killed girls so far...
Characters can be attacked. How we have previously attempted to do it is with a plotting competition that was over all very unsuccessful. people refused to plot outside their ships/social circles. Personally, I would not be okay with rewarding people who don't try.
Basically, every so often the admin will host a plotting competition where whoever plots with the most people (and it has to an idea with substance not just “omg i don’t know lol”) will get to thread with the murder(s). It would of course, be up to the admin what would happen in the thread because we do have a general plot idea. The player would have some leeway as well because we cannot force someone to kill off their character.
We are always accepting ideas to move the plot forward, but we would prefer they be site wide ideas as opposed to ways to only progress your character in the plot. We would LOVE for people to come to us with ANY ideas. We want this site to be as interactive as possible.
All and all, we will be continuing the reward system. If you win the plotting competitions then you’ll be asked to participate. If we see you talking in the cbox and attempting to make connections with everyone rather than just your social circle then you will have a greater chance. Effort = special rewards.
As for the attacks only being females thus far - it is true, but who is to say that the pattern will continue ;).

You will find the already reserved faces if you click the link titled 'Reserves'. The list is long because Fragile Bird is an already made site that is being moved from Invisionfree to Jcink. We allowed our returning members to keep their face claims with no strings attached to be fair.
You will also notice a list of face claims who are being requested. If you are interested in a face that is on the list please contact us (not anonymously) and we will put you in touch with the player. However, if you are not interested in the plot at hand then you are free to use the face and not participate in the plot per our general site rules.
For now, we are only allowing one face claim reserve per player. Please make sure you check back to be sure that your face claim was edited into the list. We will only publish your ask message if the claim is already taken.
If you are going to begin work on your application on a test site please know that this code is embedded within our skin so it will look a little strange on any other site. There is no word count for the application, but we ask that you write enough to properly portray your character. As you can tell, the application is freeform so get creative! If you need an application image made the admin team will be happy to make one for you as soon as the site is open.
