I've been rewatching Good Omens and there are a few things I noticed that I think are interesting.

For example, in the second season, the very first episode when Azi and Crowley are talking about the earth, Azi tells Crowley that they will start with a breeding pair and then there will be oodles of humans. When we watch Adam and Eve in the Garden, the apple is representative of sex, Eve leaves the garden pregnant. Why would it be a sin if it was necessary for humans to exist? Were they created with the purpose of being cast out of Eden?

Another thing I noticed is that at the end of season 1 (I think it was around the end), Gabriel tells Aziraphale that the Earth was created so that it would be the place were Heaven and Hell could finally settle the scores, the Great Plan, he calls it. But we know earth wasn't created for that, and there were no demons when the plans for it were made. Does that mean God knew that some of his angels would rebel? Did they create them so that they would fall?

Something that I take from Crowley is the he fell because he loved too much. He loved his stars and nebulas and galaxies too much, he loved people too much, he loves Aziraphale too much. But loving them was what casted him out of heaven. He loved his stars and wanted to know why they were gonna be destroyed. He loved people and wanted to free them and in doing so he ended up condemning them. He loves Aziraphale too much and has been scared to say and acknowledge so because what if he looses him too? But in the end he lost him anyway. Truly heartbreaking. The epitome of a villain in a badly told story.

I think it was a Tumblr post that went on about how being in love with the hero meant he would prioritize saving others /the world /the overall good over you and being in love with the villain meant they would burn everything and everyone just for you (sorta). I think it applies perfectly for Aziraphale and Crowley, specifically at the end. The inherent good in Aziraphale makes him want to save everyone, including Crowley. He wants to make things better for all, he wants them to be together in a better world. Whereas, with Crowley, he doesn't care if things are better or not, since the only thing he cares about is Aziraphale being okay, safe, with him. He doesn't care if everything else burns as long as they get to be together.

I'm breaking my own heart at this point
