Jasper:

                 ❝Ah, that’s my girl!❞ He placed another kiss to her forehead and one to the top of her head before he’d hop off of the couch, smiling down at her. Nothing but complete LOVE and affection would show in his eyes when he looked at her, and once again he was reminded of the reason as to why he loved her so much. ❝And yeah, deal. But not tonight. Halloween is tomorrow so we’ll head out tomorrow night.❞  

                         ❝Oh, wonderful. That’s going to make it even better!❞ Sarcasm laces her words as she speaks. Just going to that damn farm was bad enough already, but adding Halloween to the mix was only making her more uneasy about the trip. But he was right; she needs to try and relax before she goes into a panic attack.

                    Eventually she meets his gaze, a warm smile spreading across her features before she pushes herself up from her seat. Her arms gently come to wrap around him before she speaks again. ❝I really hope you realize just how special you are to me. I wouldn’t do this for anyone else.❞

Jasper:

             ❝Yes, but you’re my miss worst-case scenario and I love you for it. Someone has to be the balance in this relationship. I’m glad it’s YOU.❞ He smiles, a thumb grazing over her cheek before he chuckles and would raise his head now to kiss her forehead. ❝You know how these things work, Heather. Quickly driving by isn’t gonna prove that it’s all a hoax. We gotta hike it.❞ Jasper knew how uneasy she felt about the whole thing and he really would do ANYTHING he could to keep her safe. Now all he had to do was reassure her that everything was going to be okay, that NOTHING bad would happen.

             ❝You gotta TRUST me. We take one quick walk up the road, look around a bit, and then we can come right back home. Easy in, easy out. I promise. Just think about it. I’ll be holding your hand the entire time and if anything, we’ll get spooked by some bratty teenagers with the same idea.❞ 

               She reaches up and grabs his hand, squeezing it gently. She honestly can’t believe that she’s going to agree to do this, especially when every part of her is SCREAMING that this is a horrible idea. But, if it made him happy, then it would all be worth it. ❝Fine, but if it ends up being too much for me we’re turning our butts around and LEAVING. Alright?❞ She’ll try her best to be brave for him; but she doubts that it will last very long.  ❝So---should we head out now, or wait a little bit longer?❞

Jasper:

      The man is laughing. EXACTLY the reaction he was going for. ❝Babe, I think you’re overreacting a little bit.❞ He’d then hold up two fingers, the ones that would typically represent a ’pinch’. ❝Just a bit.❞ And that hand falls back to his lap. ❝I’m like–75 percent sure it’s just a story. Although, if you feel like doing some research, be my guest.❞

      Jasper would fully turn to his girlfriend then, placing his hands on her shoulders and pressing his forehead against hers. ❝Relax.❞ He gives a short, reassuring kiss. ❝I would NEVER let anything happen to you. You know that, don’t you?❞

                 ❝But it could ACTUALLY happen, you know. It might not be the actual Pigman, but some other crazy weirdo.❞ Of course she’s overreacting, it’s what she does; but she’s not going to admit that to anyone. Her mind is always coming up with the worst possible outcome to every bad situation she could get into. ❝Only 75 percent sure? Well, that’s very reassuring, and I feel like if I do any research I’ll only freak out more.❞

                  A sigh escapes her lips and she returns the kiss, gently nodding her head in response. Heather knows that he would do ANYTHING in his power to protect her from anything that could possibly harm her.  ❝Of course I know that, but you know how I am. Miss worst-case scenario.❞ And she releases a small chuckle. ❝But, is this REALLY something you would like to do? Maybe we could just----quickly drive by it?❞

Jasper:

              ❝ Well, like I said it’s just a STORY. And his farm is just before the edge of town. With Halloween coming up soon, I think that would be the perfect opportunity for us to investigate! ❞ A part of him is just messing with her while the other is actually quite serious. Jasper couldn’t deny his curiosity and even if he were to travel down that road at night, he wouldn’t D A R E do it alone. Who better to drag along than the woman he loves? However, as soon as the words came out of his mouth, he already knew what her answer would be; “Absolutely not!” followed by a million reasons as to why it wasn’t a good idea. Then some Supernatural reference if he was lucky.

            Again, he had to admit that with as many ghost stories as the town had, this one was definitely holding first place on the Top 10 list. But honestly, if such a thing were true, that farmer would have to be seriously F U C K E D U P  in the head to display the heads of teenagers on his property like that. Like–dude, that’s MURDER.

        ❝--------No! No way in HELL would I ever go there, Jasper! Have you gone insane?❞ Her eyes widen at his suggestion, a look of shock washing over her features. Of course, Heather knows Jasper, and this shouldn’t even come as a surprise to her anymore. Leave it to him to check out any potentially DANGEROUS location.

         ❝What if it ISN’T just a story? What if it’s actually real and your brilliant idea gets us both brutally murdered?❞ Some psycho murderer could be hiding at the farm, just waiting for anyone dumb enough to go exploring. With her LUCK that would actually happen and THEIR heads would be the ones found on stakes. ❝I don’t know about you, but I actually enjoy being alive!❞

Jasper:

“Babe, it’s just a story.” He’d noticed the looks she’d been giving him ever since he’d mentioned it. The story of the Pigman. A few of his buddies had told him the same story a while back and for the longest time, Jasper didn’t believe a word of it.

 “Bullshit.” He’d said with a laugh as he’d leaned forward to take another swig of his beer. The guys were drinking pretty heavy that night, telling drunk horror stories at 2 maybe 3 in the morning.

“Anyway. So the legend goes that there was this guy who owned a farm on the outskirts of town, right? This guy really wanted to keep people off his property. Like..seriously wanted to keep them away so he’d take severed heads of pigs and stick them on spikes at the end of his driveway to ward off teenagers and tourists and such. Well, in the 1950’s or so 3 teens had decided it would be a great idea to trespass this dude’s farm at night–which was their first and last mistake–next morning, their heads were the ones on stakes at the end of his driveway. Guess this guy really wasn’t fuckin’ around. Anyway, since the Pigman died nobody really bothers to even try and go down that road at night. People say some really crazy weird shit happens. They hear noises and things.” Jasper simply shrugs, reaching for some chocolate they’d put in a bowl on the table in front of them. 

         ❝Great. That’s going to keep me awake for the next few nights.❞ It was a known FACT that Heather was possibly the biggest CHICKEN when it came to horror stories. This one in particular was enough to send a CHILL right down her spine, and the feeling of dread slowly began to creep it’s way inside of her. Jasper knew how she was, yet he decided it was a fantastic idea to tell her anyways.

          ❝------Honestly though, who would be STUPID enough to go down that road in the middle of the night? It’s almost like they are BEGGING for something horrible to happen to them.❞ A brow raises in his direction as her lower lip slides between her teeth. Even if Heather knows that the whole story is probably all BULLSHIT, she would never put herself in that sort of situation. She’s seen enough scary movies to know how it could possibly end.

❝ I realize I’ve taken you    AWAY from your family. ❞ 

             jasper himself knew what it was like to always be afraid               of what was to come and to know that no matter what, he           could n e v e r turn to his family again. he’d be LYING if he said             he didn’t miss his parents in his earlier stages of being a             newborn. however, he couldn’t bring himself to tell her that             while she continued to ‘L I V E’, they would DIE. & she would                                 forget. & it would no longer matter. 

                        ❝ But you weren’t ready to die, Heather. ❞

                           ❝That wasn't up for you to decide, Jasper.                                 You forced something on me that I wasn't                                 ready for, that I will never be able to handle.                                 ----  I can’t do this!❞

        She takes a few steps closer in his direction, her hands         balling up into tight fists at her sides. If only she had the         chance to go back in time and stop herself from ever         meeting him. She would do it in a heartbeat, knowing that         her life would have turned out better if he hadn't been there.         She wouldn't have been turned into a blood thirsty monster         who wanted to destroy everything in sight.

                               ❝---You were too selfish to just let me go.❞

                 now he was the one who could not meet her gaze. if he could,                  he’d die a thousand deaths & endure the burning that came                  with starvation in order to ensure her happiness. to  p r o v e                  that he was truly sorry & regretful of his hasty actions.

      ❝There’s nothing you can do, Jasper.           Nothing.❞

She feels the anger quickly building up in her body. This wasn't just about her either, it was also about the parents who just lost their o n l y child. They would have to live out the rest of their lives wondering what happened to her, probably more miserable than Heather could ever be. This, on top of other things, was the reason she wished he had just let her die. It would have saved a lot of people a lot of heartache and pain.

        ❝I don’t see how this is ever going to get                better. You should have let me die in that                hospital room. It would be so much better                than the hell I’m in now.❞

      ❝ I’m not asking you to forgive me,       I just want you to u n d e r s t a n d.       you can take as much time as you       need and—you don’t even have to       speak to me if you don’t want to. ❞

                            as much as it hurt him to say. he felt like shit, & that’s                              all there really was to it. he didn’t mean to turn her into a                               monster; one thing he said he’d never do. & yet again,                               it was too late to prevent himself from breaking his own                                                                      promise.

A frustrated sigh escapes her lips as she turns to face him, her gaze instantly locking with his. She had been avoiding eye contact for a while now, just because she didn't want to see that look in his eyes. All it did was make her feel even more miserable.

           ❝Right, because that’s actually going to help.❞

   “Heather….I’m really sorry.     I know  this isn’t exactly easy for you.     I just didn’t know what else to do– ”

Jasper quietly sneaks up behind her, hands snaking around her waist and lips traveling up her neck until they'd reach her ear before he'd whisper "Hello, beautiful."

He causes her to jump at first, but she finally relaxes and lets out a sigh of relief when she realizes who it is. Her hands gently rest on his arms, and a light giggle passes her lips.
