it’s a cold saturday night and i can‘t stop thinking about madonna in a fur coat

i think back at that night

that night we laid in my bed

intertwined and in uncommon positions

your hand caressing my head

soothing my thoughts

like no other had done before

our foreheads touched

our breaths mingled like two lovestruck dancers

our lips reached out for each other

yet it felt like we were eternities apart

i remember how i put my hand on your chest

i wanted to search for your heartbeat

i wanted to see if it matched mine

but i realised it wasn‘t beating at all

and you were gone before my breath escaped my mouth
