“Well.. That’s something. If Cat’s looking like hell it must be that.. uh, what’s her name? Lucille? Whatever it is, it sounds insane.”
“Lucia,” Franc corrected, nodding, “She pretty much runs the show around here, except for like, the originals obviously, and the vampire that she was fighting with-- Kitty? I don’t really know what she does apart from run the bar, but I know that she’s in like, everyone’s business all the time.” She shrugged, “Yeah, it’s pretty insane, but that’s the Hills for you.”
“What’s with all this despair and angry demons? Did I miss something?”
“God, I know right? I heard in the office that there was like, a massive showdown. Nobody is talking to each other. Catherine looks like she hasn’t slept in like fifty years or some shit. It’s fucking crazy.”
‘Doesn’t the rubber tree have such handsome leaves? That’s printed on a t-shirt I have.’

Take My Hand || Franc & Mattie
The minutes ticked by, still staring out the skylights. It all went by slower than normal for her. She found herself pacing along the the railing, glancing at the clock every few minutes. Time had never felt this slow and drawn out before.
Then she heard the knock on the door. Letting out a short sigh and smiling, she made her way to the door. Opening it, her smile softened, “Flowers? No one has ever brought me flowers before.” She held the door open for Franc to walk in. “Sound’s like I’m lying but I’m honestly not. Never, in all my life.”
Mattie looked out of this world fantastic, just like always. Franc’s heart practically skipped a beat as she looked her over. Why did she have to be so useless every time she had a crush? It happened every time: the anxiety, the loss of words, the weird feeling in the pit of her stomach. Yet nobody had quite the effect that Mattie did. She’d been on dates with supers before, but they were all similar ages to herself: witches, newly turned wolves-- but nobody that had the Valkyrie’s vast knowledge and experience. It was terrifying, but in a strangely pleasant way.
Realizing she’d been stood in stunned silence for a moment she extended the bouquet towards her before stepping inside. “Really?” She asked in surprise, “Well, I’m honoured to be the first. There’s violets-- I asked specifically for those-- and then the florist asked me a bunch of questions to figure out the rest. I don’t know a lot about flowers, but I do know that violets were like the gay flower back in the early 1900s. Pretty flowers for the pretty girls they were trying to woo.” She flashed her a grin. Taking a proper look around the room, her jaw practically dropped through the floor into oblivion. The loft was nothing like what she imagined. It was simple but beautiful, and Franc loved it. “Holy shit. So this is what’s been hiding up here all this time?”
