Would you agree that magical practices are dangerous for those who have not been initiated?

It’s only dangerous if you’re either already delusional, prone to delusion, and/or getting really really far ahead of yourself in your practice. As far as what you’re seeking and what you hope to find in a magical practice, I’d say if you’re trying to control forces outside of yourself before mastering your internal, you’re a fool and are gunna go nutso. “The World of Magick is a mirror,” as Uncle Al says. I paraphrase to point out that we really must study ourselves and not be drawn into ego delusions that hinder our progress. No matter what you feel like after doing your first few rituals, you’re almost certainly not literally the reincarnation of Aleister Crowley or a 35,000 year old Atlantian Warrior.  

Starting small with things like the Qabalistic Cross and Liber Resh, you can move on to the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram and the Middle Pillar exercise and probably not lose your mind unless it was already on it’s way out. Keep a journal of all your magickings and talk to other people, preferably a psychologist, to make sure you’re not going off the rails. If you’re even somewhat scientific about your practice, and realistic that not every little thing is pointing to you being the Master of the Universe you’ll be fine. Probably.

All of that being said, everyone should take a good physical initiation with other people if they can. You’ll learn things a book and solo practice CAN NOT teach you.

This corresponds to the Neshamah part ofour soul, the Soul Intuition. The world of the King is Atziluth, the highest Qabalistic world, which is represented on the Tree of Life by the first and second Sephiroth of the Supernal Triad, Kether and Chokmah, and the Chiah part of our soul, the Life-Force, itself.

You do it by using your inner imagination to create the Deity in the image of your most ideal lover, and then surrendering yourself completely and unconditionally. Now this may sound uncomfortably like what Christians, and Buddhists, and Hindus tell you that you must do to their guys, and up to a point it is. But, no matter what they may tell you, no religion or creed can corner the market on this universal experience. It is totally universal and nonsectarian. It really doesn’t matter what you call the object of your devotion, or how you visualize it. Anything and everything is capable of being the focus for your love for the Holy Guardian Angel.
