Freddie Olsen && 22 && Filmmaker && Possessed by the Former Dark One's Son

Neal tried to stop Freddie from taking the monorail, he had no idea what would happen or where they’d end up, but once it stopped and they arrived in Animal Kingdom he felt a little more at ease.  After a bit of exploring, he stumbled across the abandoned Kilimanjaro Safaris, and more importantly, the abandoned ride vehicle sitting there with keys still in the ignition, and although he hadn’t stolen a car in years, not since the day he and Emma first met, he felt the need to hop in and take it for a spin.  He slid into the leather seat and pulled up a little bit to the loading dock, where he saw someone standing.  “Care for a ride?”

FREDDIE

When Mimi backed up, Freddie saw his chance and ran into the building, a few animatronics taking notice and slowly making their way toward him.  “Water, right…  Got it.”  He nodded and ran into the kitchen, frantically looking around for a large container or something that he could fill with water.  He finally stumbled upon a large cooking pot, but he knew that it would take way too long to fill up, so he left it to fill and grabbed a few water bottles to use for the time being.  “Here, there’s more coming but use this.”  He tossed a bottle to his cousin, opened another one, and threw the liquid onto a group of three robots.

As much as she didn’t want to drop the chair, Mimi let it go and caught the water bottle that came flying at her. No sooner had she done that did a few more of the animatronics jump at her and she sprayed them with water, causing them to spark and writhe before falling over. It took her almost no time to get through the bottle though, and soon she was back to wielding her chair as if her life depended on it, “All you found was water bottles, Freddie?” She questioned, not intentionally skeptical about it, but considering the situation, she felt entitled to be a little critical.

Soon Freddie's bottle was also empty, but more animatronics soon began to close in on him. "There's more coming, it's just talking a while to fill up." He peeked his head into the kitchen and saw that the pot was nearly full. Taking one look back at the robots, he dashed in and grabbed the vessel. "Here!" He ran out as fast as he could without spilling, the pot in front of him.

BAELFIRE

“Trust me, I’m just as confused as you are.”  Neal chuckled softly, trying to lighten the mood, but it was obviously half-hearted.  There were so many things that he’d wanted to say to his father, so many things that he hadn’t gotten to say, but at the moment he couldn’t think of any of them.  He stood silent for a second before he gave in, wrapping his father in a tight hug.  “I’m not going anywhere.”

There was no hesitation on Rumple’s part to return Baelfire’s hug. He’d gone to the ends of the earth and back to save him. And while it was Baelfire’s own decision to let it go and sacrifice himself for the greater good, it was difficult for Rumple to not blame himself. After a long moment, he pulled away and patted his sons arms, “Bae, listen to me very carefully. The darkness in that mansion is out to end us all. Permanently. It’s darker than I have ever been or ever will be. Have you ever heard of a creature called Chernabog?”

"Chernabog? I think I've heard of him. What, is he behind this or something?" Neal's brow furrowed and his lips pursed into a thin line. He had to admit that he didn't know much about Chernabog, but if he was darker than his father was, then he knew that he had to be a serious threat.

“Fuck - !” She hissed. Getting distracted for just the smallest second resulted in one of the animatronics jumping onto the very chair Mimi was swinging and scare her. At this point, the girl was running on adrenaline as she swung it off and decided to give Freddie a chance to get in. She backed up further into the restaurant, causing the little monsters to come after her, “Freddie, go in the kitchen and get as much water as you can – it’s the only thing that’ll stop these things or they’re just going to keep getting back up!”

Mimi had always hated the Small World ride. With a deep passion that burned hotter than the sun. And this madness was by no means helping that. Animatronics in general were not her favorite thing, and them coming to life and chasing her across Fantasyland certainly wasn’t helping. She wasn’t sure how many there were–4? 8? 20? It felt like 20 as she passed through the doors of the “Be Our Guest” restaurant and grabbed the nearest chair she could find, whirling around to swing and knock back the monstrous little animatronics that had been chasing her, “This is not how I want to die!” She swung again, but more seemed to be coming in. Outside the door she caught sight of a familiar face, and suddenly things seemed a lot less grim, “Freddie…Freddie!” ( @frcddieolscn )

Freddie could of sworn that he’d just been in Frontierland, but somehow he found himself in Fantasyland.  Sure, he was confused, but he didn’t have much time to think before he saw a group of animatronics closing in on the Be Our Guest restaurant.  He looked around for something he could use to fight them off, but there was nothing in the immediate area, so he just ran in completely blind.  When he heard his name called, however, his eyes went wide and he moved even faster.  “Mimi!”  He needed to get to her, but he wasn’t sure how.  The robots were blocking the door.  “I’m coming, just hang on, okay?”

Rumpel turned on his heel, facing his son…or the shell in which is son resided. One would think seeing him with a different face would make this experience less painful. But his eyes. He could see Baelfire in this new boy’s eyes, and it brought back memories, pain, regret, but also…pride, “I don’t understand how you can be here. But I want you to know that whatever it takes, I’ll make sure you don’t go anywhere after all this. I’ve lost you to many times, Bae, I won’t again.”

“Seeing how I just had to outrun three little Hawaiian girls, I don’t think that’s such a bad idea.”  Freddie ran a hand through his hair, looking over his shoulder for any other dolls that may be approaching.  “We need to figure out how to fight these things off.”

When the voice met his ears, it felt as though someone had wrapped a hand around his throat and squeezed to cut off his airway. It was a long moment before Rumpel could make himself breathe again. If it’d been anyone else that had spoken to him–and he knew exactly who he was speaking to–he would have said that the price was usually worth it. But he couldn’t make himself say such a thing to Baelfire of all people. Holding himself together, he continued, “Well then, whatever price that bastard in there is paying for taking all of our powers, I hope it’s a painful one….so you found a new body, Bae.”

Neal felt as though someone had punched him in the gut and all the wind had been knocked out of him.  Sure, he had a feeling that the person he was talking to was familiar, but to find out that it was his father...  The feeling was unexplainable.  “Papa...”  The word was soft, barely above a whisper.  He felt as though his voice would betray him and give out at any moment.  He cleared his throat, looking down for a moment and nodding.  What was he supposed to say during such a reunion?  “Uh...  Yeah, I did.  So did you.”

Rumpelstiltskin had only been observing from the inside up to this point. Studying. Learning. Before now, he hadn’t felt the need to take control of his vessel. But upon deciding he need a closer look at the Haunted Mansion, he came to forefront, pushing Ethan to the back without trouble and walking to the barricade. And there he stood, staring up at it, “Dark magic in there…” He mused softly to himself, flexing his own fingers. The loss of his own magic left him feeling a bit empty. But he had to commend the one responsible for this mess. “Keeping the magical characters away from their own magic…very cruel, but very smart move. Something I’d do.”

Normally, Freddie was the one who explored the most.  Sure, Neal was interested in finding answers as much as his vessel was, but he usually liked to sit back and let his vessel doing the work, usually only chiming in when necessary.  Tonight, however, was different.  For some reason, he felt drawn to the ominous mansion, so while Freddie was asleep, Neal went to investigate.  Clearly, he wasn’t the only one.  “Maybe it’s a good idea.  Magic always comes with a price.”  He muttered, taking a step closer to the other male.

Sora blew out a breath, combing her fingers through her hair, “Sorry–with all this nonsense going on, everything has me on edge.” Heart still racing a bit, she glanced back into the ride briefly, “And all the noise coming out of there…I was hoping the ride would still be working, but it’s messed up. Haven’t even seen the ride car come through.”

“Hey, don’t worry about it.  I think everyone’s a little on edge.”  Neal smiled softly, peeking his head in the ride and pursing his lips.  “Yeah...  I don’t think Winnie the Pooh’s supposed to sound like that.  I mean, maybe I’m wrong.”

“Wouldn’t it be lovely if any of this made sense..” She murmured to herself. With a pirate chattering away in her head, people vanishing, rides sparking, and ominous noises escaping the Haunted Mansion, Sora felt her sanity slowly trickling away from her. Wandering through Fantasyland, she came upon the Winnie the Pooh ride, an old favorite of her’s. She’d hoped it was still functioning and she could take it for a couple of spins to lift her deflated mood. But as she stepped closer and poked her head inside, flickering lights and the ride’s strange, warped audio  were clear indications that, no, it wasn’t working, “To creepy…for my tastes…” And yet she poked her head in further, almost stepping inside when footsteps behind her made her jump out of her skin, “Holy shi–Ahh…ahh…” Hand over her chest, she leaned against the wall, “You scared me…”

Neal was... confused.  He’d died, and he sure as hell wasn’t in Disney World when it happened, so how did he end up in the park, in some kid’s body?  He wasn’t sure, but his survival instincts were already starting to kick in and he knew he had to find food and shelter, so he figured he’d shack up in one of the rides until something better came along.  He sure as hell wasn’t staying in the Peter Pan ride, for all he knew his grandfather had found his way here too, so he decided to check out Winnie the Pooh next.  When he got to the ride he saw a female figure standing there already, but as he walked toward her, she jumped suddenly, which caused him to have the same reaction.  “Whoa, whoa!”  He held his hands out to show that he meant no harm.  “Sorry.  Didn’t mean to freak you out, I’m just looking around.”

Julia was startled when there was a sudden body next to her, but she was quick to smile brightly in delight as she examined the paper contraption. “Oh, I love these sorts of things! Okay, how about pink?” She said, curious to see what kind of fortune would be revealed – one she would undoubtedly believe.

“Good choice.”  Freddie smiled and let out a soft chuckle, spelling out P-I-N-K as he moved the paper back and forth in his fingers.  He finally stopped and held it back out to the girl.  “Okay, now pick a number.”

In an effort to drown out that voice that kept haunting his thoughts, Yejoon had resorted to mere fidgeting. He probably looked like he was spazzing out, but he didn’t care. Chances are, when they got out of here ( if they got out of here ) they would never see the people they had within the park. His attention was grabbed by another voice, this time not one inside his own head. His gaze flickered to meet the paper fortune teller that was offered out to him. “–What are we? In primary school?” He snapped, though that was just the nerves talking. “Sorry… um… blue?”

“Look man, I’m just trying to lighten the mood.  You look like you're about to have an aneurysm or something.”  Freddie replied with a shrug, spelling out B-L-U-E as he moved the fortune teller back and forth.  He then held it back out to the other.  “Now pick a number.”

Sure, this situation was absolutely terrifying, but Freddie was determined to lighten the mood.  It was for this reason that he plopped down next to someone that he thought looked stressed (though it was entirely possible that they weren’t) and held out a paper fortune teller that he made.  “Pick a color.”

FREDDIE OLSEN is a 22 year old GUEST at Disney World. Freddie is the vessel of Baelfire from ONCE UPON A TIME.

BACKSTORY

Being born in Mississippi, Freddie was told by most of the people in his life that big dreams never amount to anything, and that he should think realistically. Everyone, excluding most of the people in his family, told him that his dreams of being the next big Hollywood director were never going to amount to anything, but this didn’t get him down. He always had a good relationship with his family, most notably his parents, who were supportive of his dreams but also tried to steer him in a more practical direction, and his cousin, Mimi, who was perhaps the most supportive of them all. He and his cousin were always close, he often acted as the guinea pig for new recipes she was testing and she was the subject of many camera tests and ‘documentaries’ that he made in his spare time.

School was never really easy for Freddie. He’s known for having a short attention span, so sitting down in classrooms for hours on end never agreed with the boy who just wanted to go out and capture memories on video. Because of his love for being behind the camera, he took comfort in his school film club. Finally, he found a place where his talents could be appreciated. By his senior year he was the President of this club and he entered several film contests, which helped fund his education at Mississippi State University, where he majored in Film Studies.

PERSONALITY

Freddie was widely known for having a short attention span when it came to academic studies and things that bored him in general. He’s a dreamer and often daydreamed when in a situation that didn’t entertain or interest him. His dreams were often deemed unrealistic, but this didn’t get him down. If anything, it just made him more of an optimist and more determined to prove people back in his home town wrong. Because of this, he was never known as a quitter, even when things got hard. He’s never given up on what he believed in, and he’s never going to. He jokes around a lot, and he’s always the one who lightens up a grim situation with his big smile and even bigger personality.
