Oh, Scott! I was afraid I’d never see you again!
Mr. And Mrs. X
A little Emma Frost thing I made in honour of it being pride month!!
I personally see her as a lesbian with compulsory heterosexuality, but ik a lot of people see her as bi so I made that as well!!
Scott and Warren are so interesting. Like imagine your 16 and there's this other guy here who's your equal and opposite in every single way imaginable. He comes from nothing, and you everything. he has nothing, and you everything. You're the handsome, charismatic one bound to get the girl, but he's the underdog that always wins. You've both spent your time away from everything you've ever known, saving and being saved, but there's still blood under his fingernails, and you're costume is dry-cleaned, hanging in the closet.
imagine knowing that flying gave you your life and took his away, and yet it's everything either of you have ever wanted to do.
imagine knowing he's everything you are but turned inside out, how all you can see when you look at him is you in another life. You're the same protagonist in two different genres, and maybe that wasn't supposed to happen, but it did. and you love him. you love him because he's your brother.
to like. actually answer the question i think that person was really asking:
to me girl-liker emma frost is someone who is capable of acknowledging her attraction to women as like. a performance of something illicit or taboo and then she runs into a wall when she actually tries to process it on a genuine emotional level. this is based on the ways emma crafts her own identity and persona and the problems she runs into in her real genuine relationships. like i think if emma were to actually date a girl she'd get nervous and wrong-footed bc it would require genuinely unpacking some of her emotional baggage. and that nervousness would probably manifest as a greater investment in her own bitchiness and worldliness.
but yk. there's hope! she's had genuine human connections before and she can again.
Since Krakoa is reviving mutants, they should bring back Astrid Bloom…doesn’t Emma Frost deserve to see her homoerotically controlling girl best friend who she tore apart in telepathic combat in a fight over Emma being too trusting of humans?
writing some emmajean in honor of pride month!

I just realized that Cyclops might be the least educated out of the o5… which seems crazy considering everyone thinks he’s a smartass, but it might be true. I assume he had some form of schooling at the orphanage, but I doubt it was at the level of the others’ schools, considering the orphanage was in the middle of Nowhere, Nebraska. And I doubt Sinister wanted Scott to be smart, considering the mental blocks he placed in his mind.
Bobby went to a school on Long Island, Jean was taught by Xavier and presumably more, Warren went to a fancy religious school, Hank is Hank. Scott grew up in an orphanage and then lived with Jack Winters when he was maybe 15-16 before meeting Xavier. (this is making me sad oh no)
Yes, he educated himself at the orphanage and all, but that’s certainly different from the things the others experienced. His awkwardness with the team and later social/relationship struggles make perfect sense considering he hadn’t gone to a proper school, literally had no long-term positive relationships in his life, and his general “unique personality” (autism).
Anyways, this came up cause I saw a fic of Scott tutoring Warren in the early days and realized that he didn’t have the qualifications to do that. I feel like he knows some history, a lot of geometry, and middle school basics for everything else. Idk it just got me thinking about the disconnect between his background and the others and how that affects how they interact.
I wish I had the motivation to write, if only so I can finally write my New X-Men oneshot where Emma homewrecks with Jean instead of Scott
those are my wives

Cat and Illyana
The Magik miniseries + The Exit by Conan Gray
Not Redditors on /r/Magik deliberating Katyana in the most homophobic ways possible. Their arguments always go down to "Kitty sees her as a little sister!" and pointing to one whole panel from the 1980s, a panel that occurs shortly before she's put into Limbo and someone even initiated "bro code" saying that dating your ex-fiance's sister is "a boundary too far."
Like do I even need to get into how Kitty and Piotr's entire relationship is built like a house of cards? It's legitimately only built upon the two remembering a much easier time in their lives and clinging to it throughout severe tribulations in their lives whether that be Kitty being put into the space bullet or Piotr being Juggernaut among other things in the world of the X-Men. Kitty left him at the altar because she realized it after prodding from Yana. She realized she did not love Piotr she loved the memories they had in a far more simple time in their lives when things were not as dubious and complex as they had gotten by the time of X-Men Gold. It's a sad state of things, but better she leave him at the altar than head into an unhappy marriage that inevitably ends in someone writing a divorce story arc.
But no, tell me more you care about gooning to Magik than concrete storylines about these characters. Tell me Katyana is bad because of one panel from 45 years ago and because of brocoding Kate and Piotr like somehow the worst thing she could do is have feelings for her best friend who has always been there for her. If you don't ship them, that's fine, but let's not act like the ship between them is somehow morally wrong. Because if it is, you might as well apply that to any comic book relationship ever.

"That's okay. I'll get to know you again."
