i like coming back every couple of years to check on tumblr, cuz i miss this shit more than any other social media ive deleted. i always log in when im back in NC visiting too, got a bunch of printed out images from tumblr posts still on my wall 6 years later.
i live in NYC now, so just walking outside is entertaining enough honestly.
i took a subway rat home recently, cuz he looked like he was gonna die and it was so cold and he was so little. he lived and i was convinced to release him
idk, just kinda spewing. i remember how cathartic that used to be for me to do here.
its always more of a struggle when im home to keep a handle on my drinking. my counselor had this week off too, so that didnt help. i did pretty good tho. trial and error in this new phase of moderating without my preferred method of harsh limits and boundaries.
almost done with my bachelors now. masters in social work is on the horizon. then the goal is community work, counseling certification, animal programs on the farm i buy. goats, sheep, cows, chickens, all sorts of little guys. working with other folks who need a little support and help. sounds idyllic to me. difficult, but what isnt
you think you make it out. you run, distance yourself physically. you change, develop yourself mentally. you work, at your job, the gym, school, in counseling. but a single moment (a noise and admittance, for me) makes it feel like you never made it out at all. maybe we never fully make it out. but ive definitely moved forward. kept moving forward, poco a poco
