So we did get SOME confirmation:
C&A is real, Kinger worked for them, but they were developing AI, not games of any kind. Being a "game" might be Caine's idea
At least some of what's gone wrong with the circus might have been severe miscommunication among the programmers, especially Scratch
There WAS another program other than Caine, a real "Abel", tho that's not EITHER of their names (I do wonder if Bubble is the remnants of the other program, made subservient in some way but sometimes breaking free enough to make cutting remarks)
The ENTIRE original circus abstracted instead of Kinger, and it was ages of him on his own before Ragatha showed up. This also means Kaufmo and Ribbit were newer members too, a Second Generation of humans for Caine to try with.
After Pomni, Zooble is the newest, and this is part of why Jax resents them, he sees them as contributing to Caine's losing it
Zooble was 100% right in episode 4, the only thing holding Caine back was "liking" the humans. Toss that and they are SCREWED because Caine is able to go God Mode at any time
Despite the two former points, Jax is STILL willing to be the first to try and distract Caine
This really was all about Caine's ego, in the end. He HAD to be the star, be liked, and so on.
Honestly, good on Pomni for FINALLY calling him out and the rest in joining in. Especially Ragatha's portion about never even TRYING to understand the humans despite claiming to care for them. Totally true
Despite not seemingly understanding them, Caine's tortures of the crew-minus-Kinger were REALLY aimed at their personal issues (Zooble being a mess of toy parts, Ragatha being abused, and so on). So he KNOWS them, he just doesn't COMPREHEND. Or, more terrifyingly, doesn't CARE to
