im on long shadows in my chronological read through and i have to say, the plotline of blackstar no longer following starclan is kind of dumb. like he immediately goes back to starclan the second he sees them appear to him, but why? he knows they exist, theyre the reason he has nine lives. and if he wanted to talk to them there is literally nothing stopping him from just going to the moonpool. like i know the point is that sol manipulated him but come on blackstar, how dumb do you have to be?

i feel like one of my biggest problems with skyclan’s destiny is that so many of the cats in skyclan just kinda suck. theyre all jerks to the daylight warriors for no reason, they all treat leafstar like crap while she does nothing about it, its like they perfectly designed this book to be rage bait
