The tribe

This year has, like any other, had perks and pitfalls. I have begun sharing my life with several new people who make me laugh and push me when I fly too low and comfort me when I fly too high and my wings start to melt. I am grateful for my band of misfits new and old. Life keeps and going and nothing gets easier. Let us all love the ones who surround us. Let us love each other fiercely and loyally and without pause. And lastly, let that love move beyond us. Let it empower us to bring others in, to promote justice and equality and civility everywhere we go. Let us build a private legacy and when we falter may we never hesitate to get back up and begin again together.
