Where it all began for me. The first Martin and Lewis movie I’d ever seen and I instantly fell in love. They just captured my full attention. I devoured everything I could find about them. Back then it was the public library. We had no internet in my home as it was in its infancy. I eventually saw all their movies, mostly their color ones. I only saw their black and white films years later and fell in love even more than I already was. Then I found YouTube and the Colgate comedy hour. And I’m awestruck at their brilliance. These boys were so ahead of their time, especially Jerry. And what struck me the most was finding out about their intense closeness, so close that they could read each others minds, and know when the other was sick. There’s never been two people so in tune to each other and we got to see it all. How special are we that we got to witness that? They shared a soul. How lucky were they? And Dean’s hand in the second gif, caressing Jerry. My heart❤️
