My oh my. Binge-watched four of these yesterday (Happy New Year!). Accidentally started with season 3, which doesn’t matter, because every episode is a whole different story. Prepare for the worst, but damn, it’s good. Black Mirror (2011) is like nothing I’ve seen before, it’s crazy and intelligent, and it grabs you by the throat. Enjoy (and beware).

Something like a crossbred of Heartbreak High (1994; remember?) and The Secret Life Of Us (2001). But on Netflix, so extra points for that. Lovesick (2014) was good way to start the new year (add pizza & Coca Cola light & hangover). Three episodes down, three to go. Easy, funny, feel-good.

128 minutes of full face smiling (me) and butterflies (also me) and the best way to end 2016. La La Land, definitely on my list to watch again in 2017. Ryan Gosling (good as always) and Emma Stone rock it. Go see.

Man, I liked this one! So, in general not a big fan of Woody Allen (ofcourse there are some exceptions). But Cafe Society (2016), loved it. So many pretty things: beautiful scenery, old jazz, LA mansions, beaches, a vibrant New York, parties and outfits. And Kristin Stewart. She is the prettiest (same here, was not a big fan beforehand). Add Steve Carell, my fave. Low expectations made for a goood movie night.

Watched this some time ago, I remember loving it halfway, and kinda liking it the other half. Still, when the rain starts kicking in on Sundays, it’s a good one to watch, Marseille (2016).

Stranger Things (2016) has got me glued to the screen, closing curtains (while sunny outside), longing for Autumn, and pausing halfway an episode to save some more of the good stuff for later. Buh-bye now Summer, get a move on, Netflix season has opened.

The Big Short (2015), loved it! The subprime mortgage crisis made easy (kind of). What. A. Cast. And such a big fan of Steve Carell.

Remember George Clooney being all funny and charming in space (Gravity; 2013)? Well, this is Matt Damon being all funny and charming on Mars, in The Martian (2015). Liked it very much though! Despite 3D hassle.

Ever wondered how Ari Gold would manage, say, beginning of last century, in London? Check out Mr Selfridge (2013). Set in the same time zone as Downton Abbey (2010), but ofcourse by far not as good. However, it’s enjoyable, relaxing, easy and it’s good to watch a series sometimes, that you can just play and pause whenever (without the urge to watch four episodes straight and without getting too emotionally involved).

Yep, he’s The Intern (2015). Kind of like The Devil Meets Prada (2006) (but now Anne Hathaway is bossing someone else around), but not as good, obviously. Just an easy movie.
