I finished 3 (three!) books in 10 days on holiday.. All of them were awesome, all in different ways. If I have to pick out a fave then it's Mayflies by @andrewohaganauthor which perfectly echoes the 80's for anyone whose teenage years were marked by indie music coming out of Manchester.. Joy Division, New Order, The Smiths, A Certain Ratio and a night at the Hacienda ( I only made it there once.. 😟 ) .. for that it's an absolute joy and then the 2nd half which is all about the resilience of friendship when the reality of a life we never thought would catch up with us actually does. l laughed and sobbed (really sobbed) as the sun baked down around the pool. I blame the book for the sunburn as it made me forget to put on more lotion. This is book that's going to stick with me a long time. I also love it because it makes a very compelling argument about how Brexit was caused by Fred Astaire..
