I want to share these two pictures with everyone. The first one you might recognize from our book. The second one however, you’ve probably never seen. It’s of me writing a very early edition of what would become ‘Craig & Fred’ on the tailgate of my faithful Land Cruiser. I wrote mostly at night so the battery on my ancient MacBook would last longer. In many ways our summer road-trip of 2015 was a test that I laid out for myself. If writing and storytelling was what I was supposed to do, I was gonna find out the only way I knew how. By doing it. By immersing myself in my own experiences and doing my best to capture them with words. I could never have imagined that our story would be embraced with such love and enthusiasm from people all over the world. When these pictures were taken, I was doing my best to convince myself that our story was worth sharing. It was a struggle that I gladly endured then, because even though I didn’t know what would come next for me and Fred, I knew we were right where we needed to be. On the road with @2e_joshua 😎🐾🗺🚙⛰🌊 We’ve all got stories, and they’re all worth sharing 📚❤️Thanks for reading and thanks for supporting ours. (at Coos Bay, Oregon)
