He can be a teeeeensy bit clingy. He hugs a lot, and he likes to spoil the people he loves. Money isn’t a big deal to him, and he’d be happy to throw five hundred bucks away just to buy his friends new parts for whatever they’re building, jewelry, name brand clothes, concert tickets — whatever he thinks they want without a second thought.

Fred loves hugs. For real, you gotta watch him. His hugs are tight and crushing. But warm.

His answer at the moment would be Lottie, but I say with anyone that is into him. He’s the least picky person alive. Concerningly so. There has to be food involved, that’s a given. Dinner and a superhero movie, or going to Comic-Con in matching costumes, or even something simple like chilling at home playing video games. Or laser tag. Or an amusement park. Least picky person alive, I’m telling you.

   jack normally wouldn’t dare do such a thing. he had intended on going shopping. at least until he spotted the mayor walking on the other side of the road. without thinking he had ducked into the first open door he saw. he could hear the mayor yell his name which caused him to make a face. he wasn’t in the mood to be stuck in a long conversation. though he allowed himself to take a breath before turning to see the person standing a few feet away from him,“ mind hiding me for a few minutes? i’ll owe you.”

“Absolutely!” Fred would never pass up a chance to play hero. (Even if it was for something so simple.) He stepped in front of Jack, peeking outside to see who exactly he was hiding from --- though it didn’t give him much of an answer. He used his body to block the window, turning to face Jack again, so if said person happened to look over they wouldn’t see anything but the back of his head. “Take cover! I shall shield you!”

“Yeah?” he asked, raising an eyebrow, “You really think so? I mean, hopefully they can edit these photos to black and white - at least. Although I’m not sure it’s the look they were going for…” Sulley sighed. “They pretty much put themselves in this situation.” 

“I wouldn’t worry about it too much. It’s too late to replace you, right?” Recasting someone over a bad tan seemed a little ridiculous, anyway. “I’m sure it’ll fade after a few showers. Though showers probably aren't worth it, but... it’s always an option.”

“Oh my!” Coming to a complete stop, Cass dropped her arm and clutched it towards her chest when she realized what she almost did. Did she almost hit him? Yes, it seemed like it and the woman flashed Fred an apologetic look. “No, dear it’s alright!” She reassured while disregarding his own apology. “I should be the one to apologize. I didn’t realize that you were behind me, Fred.”

“It’s fine,” he assured her, unphased. “I’m actually proud of myself or being so quiet! Usually people hear me coming for a mile away.” That was true. He wasn’t graceful, and he certainly wasn’t sneaky. “What’cha doin’ anyway? Practicing self defense? Dance moves? No-- don’t tell me--- you’re doing Zumba now?”

‘No, it should not….’ Phillip agreed as he tried to put the fire out, the one that has started as the two were messing around in one of the old cars at the mansion. They fathers, both being oh so important, were meeting to talk business. 

Fred stood silently for a moment, watching as Phillip stopped the spark from spreading. He tried not to think of the building going up in flames, about Tadashi. He squinted at the engine instead. “You think anyone will notice?”

“Why does this always happen on my shifts,” Panic whined as soon as he noticed the coffee machine had somehow burst into flames. Of course, it wasn’t always the coffee machine catching fire, but it always seemed like something was breaking or spontaneously combusting on his shifts. “Y-You might wanna protect your phone, dude,” he spoke quickly as he put his phone in his own pocket, the fire sprinklers from the ceiling going off within seconds to extinguish the flame. He sighed as he watched the sprinklers getting everything and everyone inside the gas station soaked, shaking his head. “Looks like I’ll be closing up early.”

“I didn’t even know those things could do that,” Fred commented, following Panic’s lead though he wasn’t sure why he was putting his phone away until the water started coming down. “Whoa, that’s cool!” Cool wasn’t the word most people would choose to describe this situation, but he held his arms out, a grin on his face as his hair grew damper by the second. He didn’t even think about all of the inventory that must’ve been ruined in the process. “So you get to leave work? You’re welcome.”

“You think?” Fred asked, hopeful. He’d been looking forward to decorating the sweet treats. Assuming they weren’t burnt to crisps. “I mean, maybe they’ll taste better than they look?”

“Well, I think...” Fred trailed off. He didn’t continue for a moment, picking up the instruction cards he’d laid out in front of him. “I may have put that piece on wrong.” That wouldn’t explain this drastic outcome. He turned the card over. Turned it over again. Then turned it around in his hand, realization striking him. “Oh... so, I was looking at them upside down...”

   normally she wouldn’t have gone to the gardens with a bottle of vodka. though after her run in with hades she needed one. the offer he had made her was one she had been waiting for. it was one she hadn’t been sure would ever come. she had screwed off the lid and went to take a very long swig from it. the liquid burned her throat and she was staring at the fountain,“ jesus christ.” she could not believe that she was so close to her freedom. even if it meant doing something that she wasn’t sure she could do.

Fred hadn’t expected to find anyone by the fountain, he’d only been hoping to make a wish or two when he passed by. He didn’t hear Meg speak until he approached, and catching the words, may have gotten the wrong impression. “Sorry, were you praying?” He asked, dropping the pennies he’d fished out back into his pocket. “I didn’t mean to interrupt.”

“Waiting until I came back would’ve been helpful.” He remarked with a disgruntled sigh. Miguel had left the room because they needed the cookie cutter and forgot that his Tía Gloria had taken it for her custom lipstick thing that she was doing. He honestly didn’t know why she needed that for it, but she had it. “If you really wanted something to eat, there’s a bowl of fresh fruit right there that you could’ve taken from.” Miguel pointed at the bowl of fruit that sat against the table. The food was a mixed of chard and mushy, causing him to shake his head. “If you want to put that in your mouth, go right away! Pero, don’t blame me if you find yourself puking your brains out because of it.”

He wasn’t wrong. Fred had gotten too enthusiastic. That was never a good thing. It almost always lead to a mess. He hardly thought as it was, add excitement to that and they were doomed. “I didn’t want fruit,” he mumbled. “Someone’s a little grumpy.” He had to admit he considered it. Miguel’s statement sounded too much like a dare for Fred to want to turn it down --- even if he too believed it would lead to him getting sick. Common sense happened to win out this one time. “It’s alright, man. We’ll just start over.”

“Run for cover! Get down!” he cried dramatically pulling Fred behind the wall nearby. “I’ve seen my dad’s inventions explode enough times to know you gotta take precautions.”

Fred knew firsthand how dangerous experimenting could be, but he was fairly certain the worst his invention was going to do was smoke the place up. He didn’t tell that to Wilbur, just in case he was wrong. Leaning back against the wall, he turned his gaze to the other guy. “So what do you suggest we do?”
