Ponce City Market is a mixed-use development building located in a former Sears facility in Atlanta, Georgia. This modernized hub welcomes residents, neighbors, and visitors to gather, work, and play. From ground-floor retail and restaurants to the Flats’ amenity-rich residences, creative office space, to an amusement park on the Roof, Ponce City Market is the culmination of its history.

During my visit to PCM, I shopped at one of my favorite curated marketplace, Citizen Supply. Here you can find an array of brands offering everything from apparel, and leather goods by Glad & Young, to paper goods and candles. Afterward, I ended my visit with some delicious Hops Chicken, award-winning deep-fried chicken from Chef Linton Hopkins.

Located in the heart of the country, Mexico City is a capital filled with diversity and vibrancy throughout every inch of its streets. Ceaseless sounds of cars and motorcycles, whiffs of mouthwatering Asada taco stands, and petroleum dance throughout the air, which accompany the crowded streets of the historic district. Astonished by the culture and its residers, the use of colors and the architecture that surrounded me left me seeking more.

However, I was instantly taken back by the barricaded Palacio De Bellas Artes, a prominent cultural center hosting notable events in all artistic fields of music, dance, theatre, opera, and literature. Due to ongoing protests regarding women and workers' rights, the Mexican government deliberately decided to barricade it with tall blue metal panels to preserve it from its vandalizers.

Panadería Rosetta is an extension of the acclaimed Italian restaurant, Rosetta. Accompanied by the noises of the city's busy streets, Panaderia Rosetta offers a warm invitation to its rustic-chic space filled with plants and a terrace in the heart of Roma. Here many locals and travelers meet to experience the delicacy chef Elena Rygadas has to offer, such as croissants, cinnamon rolls, ricotta rolls, focaccia, sandwiches, and my favorite, Rol de guayaba (Guava and cheese danish).

During the fall of October of 2021, I made my first trip of the year to Mexico City. After being deprived of physical relations with others, travels, and explorations due to the ongoing fear and travel uncertainties of COVID-19, I found myself in the Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC) at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

As active members of the University Cultural Center, the museum hosts an architectural complex encompassing auditoriums, galleries, libraries, and research facilities. The museum's main objective is to bring together a curated collection of references to Mexican Art created after 1968.
