Mod is an adult but Jet is not, so keep this in mind. He is a teenager with a lot of feelings!

Jet didn't want to be anywhere this damn firebending scum, but he was still recovering from his wounds, even if Blaze did do... whatever ahsmaker black magic to them. Plus, he had to keeps tabs on her! Make sure she wasn't doing evil Fire Nation stuff.

Sounds like Jet wasn't just talking about the fox. Clearly, he hated being cooped up in Blaze's residence for the time being instead of out in the forest.

Jet leans back, crossing his arms over his chest and looking away. He doesn't know what to say to that. He's never knowm a kind, giving Fire Nation. He's only known the pain of loss at their hands, never the tender care of kindness from them. It just doesn't make sense in his mind.

"I didn't say that. You- You're- Ugh! Do what you want, I don't care. That stupid fox will realize your true nature soon enough and run for the hills. Trust me, I've seen it before."

Jet immediately sits up, his eyes wide with horror, putting the pieces together. Ever since he found out who Zuko was, he viewed him as some spoiled fire prince who looked down on everyone and took joy in tricking Jet into falling for him. But if what Blaze said was true...

"I thought the Firelord adored his precious little minions."

Blaze choked before spitting out a bit of bacon she'd been eating "are you joking?....do you ever wonder why azula is so crazy or why zuko is so....tired with life?" She gives the boy a sad look "because ozai wanted them to be weapons....not people.... zuko managed to get away "

His hands settle on his swords, gripping the handles tightly.

"Zuko spoke out against a generals plan to to sacrifice young fire nation soilders as a distraction...it was seen as disrespectful to the general and by extension his own...father.. .. then he was challenged to an agni kai.. "

Blaze looks awkward "aang managed to reach a middle ground.. he stuck to his beliefs and still won .." she softened "ozai got his bending removed....aang didn't know he could even do that"

"That ain't good enough. Thousands of people died because of that fucker. My family, my village, is gone because of him. Aang's entire people and culture is gone because of him! How can he stand not to take revenge? I don't care if his bending is gone, as long as he's still breathing, my work ain't done."

Blaze reached a hand out to jet offering a emotional lifeboat "aang's not a vengeful type of person .... he's kept to what he was taught ...by following his life and teaching...he's keeping his culture alive"
