It's been asked if AUs are allowed in this zine, and the answer to that is yes, although it must still clearly be recognizable to the canon of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Different continuities from across the franchise are also allowed, such as the worlds of SatBK, Sonic Underground, and the Shatterverse, alongside others.

One of the first thoughts on what to do for the zine should I be approved for it with would be work based on someone else's fic/headcanon. Should I have their approval to write with it, would that be ok for the zine?
(I do have other ideas, I just want to know if this is something pursuable.)
Thank you for your interest in the zine! While we encourage you to work off your own ideas/headcanons, working off someone else's is fine too, as long as you get explicit permission from them to use those headanons in a zine.

Hi there! First of all I want to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the idea of a plural themed Sonic zine! I'm very excited to see where this is going. However I do have to ask what you guys' stance on syscource is. I hate to be the bringer of drama, and I understand if you don't want to go into detail about it. But for me, and presumably for many others, it's important to know before supporting and posibly signng up for this zine I hope you guys understand, and regardless of your answer, I wish everyone involved good luck with this project! ^^

We mention our stance on syscourse in our info doc. This zine aims to be a discourse free space where everyone (systems and non-systems alike) can explore plurality through the Sonic franchise. As such, every sort of system is welcome to sign up once contributor applications open and we won't tolerate discrimination against anyone in the server, including arguments around the validity of someone's system origins.
