Spent all day hunting, but all we found was a nice place to take pictures at sunset.

First quail hunt of the season and first time hunting with my own bird dog. No luck, but a good time and good exercise anyway. Hank and his brother Ace put some work in.

So far I’ve gained permission to quail hunt on about 1700 acres within 5 minutes of me. I have some more places that I’m not even sure of the size of if you extend it out to 15 minutes. And about 10 minutes away is 5,000 acres of public hunting land.
