This book was literally sent from the universe through an angel (Navya) to save my soul! āØ
When she bought it she thought it screamed me! Like it reminded her of ME so much that she had to buy it.
I was literally there just yesterday thinking something about me is missing. The dreamer in me, the magic, the spark, the colour of my soul, the child, the most beautiful and authentic part of me, the soul that saw the magic in everything! The part of me that would write a long ass caption about how great it was to sit under a tree, she was gone. I tried to tune in, but I couldnāt grasp it. I could not feel alive like I used to!
I was trying to reach Neverland but I could not really get there... until..
On the same day, I found this book on my shelf, and I thought it might be the cure and decided to read the back of it, and it literally said recapture the magic you saw as a child! I was like WOAH! The Universe literally heard me and saved me! āØ
I had found peace of mind through meditation but my soul was not fully alive!
Today I read this and I felt it. Parts of my heart and soul waking up! It spoke to me. It made me alive! I am excited for this adventure! š»šI shall update!
I have so much to say. SO MUCH
I recall watching little women 90s movie and loving Jo.
She reminded me of so much of myself
The passionate writer, girl with big ambitions and dreams. Working to achieve them. Not wanting to get married and settle down. When I watched it back then I was so disappointed that she had to get married at the end.
And I found the plot rather bothering.
That was when I was 17.
I watched the remake today!
And itās incredible. The book was written 1860s and itās incredible how I can relate to Jo so much! She is basically me in every way!
I loved how full this movie felt. All the emotions. It didnāt feel rushed.
And now I understand, the plot isnāt what makes it great itās the characters and their emotions and their stories!
The scene where Jo says her temper is ruining things for her. Iāve just had a fight with my boyfriend about it. And I had decided to somehow control it. Because I truly become āsavageā and brutal.
The scene where Jo feels so bad about her sister getting married. She seems an end to her freedom. Her childhood. My god this was me. And before that couldnāt have seen Megās point of view but now I do.
All the emotions are so complex. Her sister burning her story. And having to forgive her.
Her sister then being the one chosen for Europe trip.
Her sister getting the boy she finally wanted to settle down with.
Also, the emotions Amy felt. What she thinks about Laurie being rich and not hard working but yet loving him like a fool.
Her saying not wanting to be his second best option.
Amy feeling like her art isnāt good enough and she wonāt be successful in achieving her dreams. And that frustration and that emotion. I know it.
Laurie dying over Jo and yet somehow finding a different love.
Jo remaining his best friend despite the fact that they broke eachotherās hearts at different occasions.
That rejection scene was so well filmed I canāt believe it.
Meg, the scenes where they are so poor but you could see how much they love eachother. When he says Iām sorry I canāt give you things. And when she says Iām happy because you are my husband. Fuck I canāt.
Itās so good.
Finally, now that Iām 22, madly in love, I see why Jo found love. And got married despite truly believing she wouldnāt. And that shift is everything Iām feeling currently.
I want a huge happy family and a loving husband as much I want my career.
I have realized...having the career alone wouldnt make me happy. I will be empty without that love and affection.
I am so glad I didnāt watch it as soon as it came out cause I have gone through so many emotions that I saw in the movie today and thatās what made it so great.
I feel so young and alive. And normal. And hopeful.
And this was written centuries ago!
How absolutely incredible.
OH MY GOD just finished the pilot episode.
I love this so freaking much. Going to love Fiona like mad.
I donāt know how I took 9 years to watch this!
But I started watching it during a time I needed it the most
Iām so fed up of being broke. Iām struggling to keep our household together.
My mom has been talking about quitting her job
Went to get spare parts for a damn fan cause we canāt afford to buy a new one that just costs twice as much as the spare parts (16 dollars)
I am so fed up of having a net minus income when I calculate the expenses
What I love the most is that scene from the restaurant where she tells her new rich boyfriend that he is āunreliableā and the conversation that follows I feel it and Iāve been there multiple times with different people.
When she kissed him at train station I saw her expression and I know her vulnerability and I was just so scared for her that i had to pause.
Yesterday on the final episode of sex education Adams mom said you have to go on loving someone even if you are afraid of losing them and getting hurt cause... thatās what it means to be alive.
That whole rich dude buying her gifts and her reaction to it. Fact that he is spoilt and she is not. That whole dynamic is basically my head 24/7 displayed on a tv screen.
I canāt download season 2 until midnight cause I have downgraded my internet package cause we canāt afford to eat
I feel understood.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME
It all started with chapter 2! Introduction of Anne!
I knew I was going to love her from the moment I read she wanted to sit outside because āthereās no scope for the imaginationā inside.
I LOVED HER LIKE MAD from the moment she spoke her first lines saying she wanted to sleep on a tree.
Then this girl becomes extremely dramatic each time she saw something of nature! JUST LIKE ME, WHEN I SEE TREES! Or the moon or the stars!
I related to Anne from the moment she entered the book!
she never stops talking! Again, me! Overactive imagination! ME ME ME!
This girl randomly says how beautiful it is to be alive and how beautiful the world is! Literally ME
She was also trouble maker like me lmao
She is extremely sentimental like me
She was literally everything ECCENTRIC about me!
Story teller again ME
The imagery was insane! IT WAS LIKE A DREAM! The whole setting! The rivers, the trees, the little cottage, the lights from the windows, the stars, the moon, the hollows, the ocean! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!
It baffles me how interesting and MAGICAL this book was!
It was published in 1908, I had genuinely expected somewhat of a slow paced book! I didnāt think it would be this DELIGHTFUL at all
I found myself LAUGHING over and over again countless times! This books was so bloody ENTERTAINING !
This book was so ahead of its time! This girl literally went to college and her education was a major priority in this book! Even during a time when women could not even vote!
She became so AMBITIOUS and desired someone who was equally ambitious! ME
The writing over all was insane! It was magnificent!
I kept thinking about the author because damn! Imagine that girl and her mind! Imagine being so full of life with such an imagination and such passion for life! Ambitious and educated! Imagine being a dreamer and a girl during that time! (I said so, because I think she is a lot like Anne herself because thereās no way an ordinary person can write something like this!)
Even the romance was so freaking interesting! Gilbert I mean! I canāt point out one fault in it!
After Iāve spent 21 years reading and watching stories and love stories, one would think it would be so hard to please me with a book that was written over 100 years ago!
BUT INSTEAD IT BECAME MY FAVORITE PIECE OF ART EVER
I kept thinking that I wish I read this book when I was a kid! Or when I was 16! But no! One of the best things about this experience was seeing how similar Anne and I are! And reading this after becoming who I am, makes this similarly more authentic than me growing up after reading this. However I wish I read this at 18 or 19 but 21 isnāt so bad!
