Through the Glass

Peter let the bath towel slip to the floor and sighed as he inspected his body in the full length mirror. His eyes lingered to his midsection, where he always kept a few extra inches. His belly was the first place he gained and the last place he lost weight. He was a big eater, and had been since he was a lad—and now, even more so, with Joe in the house. The man could cook, and Peter wasn’t about to miss one of Joe’s delicious roasts for something as silly as a few extra pounds around his middle. Besides, when he traveled with Freddie Mercury, no one was looking at Peter Freestone anyway.
