Hola!, de hecho tengo muchas ganas de ver la serie pero tengo la costumbre de primero leer el libro y luego ver las adaptaciones (para ser un poco criticona jaja okno)pero lo que me pasa con ASOIAF es que si me lei el primer libro pero los restantes no pude y ahora no se si comprarme otra vez (pero esta vez ediciones de lujo) o ver la serie de los 7 reinos porque hasta donde se de buena fuente es que la serie es buena y la historia se pone mucho mejor (según los libros), lo que no se aun es si esa historia de los 7 reino es un libro independiente o esta dentro de la saga de libro asi como una historia entre líneas.

Did you at one time do a study in Anakin's Mechno-arm? It was a beautiful set of approx 5 drawings from different positions. They disappeared from my bookmarks and I can't find them anywhereonline. Was this your work? And if so, where can I view them again? Thank you, debbie pixie.

Hi!, uh, I don't think it's my work, since I've never studied Anakin's hand (haha, I drew him as I saw him, ahem, ahem), but sorry, I haven't seen it either; otherwise, I would have saved it for reference. I hope you find the artist and their work :).

Still, even with a home to return to, life after death is never easy. Elves have long memories. In which: Glorfindel is kind of a himbo, Maeglin deals with a lot of internalized self-hatred, Turgon's kind of a bad uncle but tries his best, and Idril is the only one who knows what's going on.

The trailer is out! I can't wait to finally watch this show. Seeing the island in high resolution and in colour is lowkey making me a bit emotional haha.

Some analysis below:

Interestingly, Ralph is the one who volunteers to be Chief here unlike in the novel where the role is sort of pushed on him by the rest of the group. I feel like this changes Ralph's characterisation a little bit as I see him as someone who doesn't have much interest in holding power over the group (unlike Jack) and grows into the leadership role over time more out of necessity than a personal desire to lead. I'm a bit worried that they'll fail to properly capture the spirit of his character, but I'll hold off on judging for now until I've seen how his arc plays out in the show.

Another thing I noticed is that they're including the scene in chapter 3 where Ralph and Jack argue over the huts (aka the 'they stared at each other, baffled, in love and hate' scene)! I'm really excited as that scene is one of my favourites and it was omitted from the 1963 movie adaptation (and I think the 1990 movie as well, although it's been a few years since I watched it so I could be misremembering). Fun fact: they did record this scene for the 1963 movie but just didn't include it in the final cut. You can still watch it on YouTube.

The 1963 version didn't include the part of the discussion shown in the trailer about fear ('Don't you feel it, Jack? When you're in the forest. When you're on your own'), so I'm hopeful that the new show will have a more complete adaptation of the scene. However, it was actually Jack who admits to being afraid in the book ('All the same - in the forest. I mean when you're hunting - not when you're getting fruit, of course, but when you're on your own- [...] sometimes you catch yourself feeling as if- [...] you're not hunting, but- being hunted; as if something's behind you all the time in the jungle') while Ralph is a lot more resistant to the idea (he is shown to be 'incredulous and indignant' at Jack's admission).

This again makes me slightly worried about characterisation, especially since I've always believed that Jack feeling that primal fear even early on in the novel is a very integral aspect of his character, as is Ralph's denial of his own fear and refusal to acknowledge how bad the situation is getting for a decent portion of the book (I should really make a longer analysis post talking about this at some time, I have a lot of thoughts rattling around in my brain haha). Though I will once again reserve my judgment until I've seen the entire show as it's possible that these character traits will be acknowledged in other ways.

Anyway, that's enough rambling about a 40 second video. I really want to be optimistic about this show as I would like it to be better than the previous two adaptations, but the fact that they are already deviating from the source material in small yet significant ways makes me wonder how the characters are going to come across as a whole. I just hope they do the novel justice.
