Being Pinkie’s older sister, she saw her abandoned into her dreary world, brighten it, but then begged her to eventually leave. Long text ahead, I hope you read it and don’t skip over it, but whatever....
This constitutes the 2 albums I always wanted to get out. One about some of my favorite stories from Fimfiction, the other was to be Ponified Covers I had done or was planning on compiling onto an album (originally with just me and Dreamsong). In the end, I never got to them and they stayed on my hard drive. Retiring with The Long Goodbye was something I needed to do as a person and as a fan. I never stopped watching MLP and I never did fully retire either (see the parting shot of Freek/Miley) but I just needed to slowly walk out that door. I think most people never picked up on how depressed I was when I put out The Long Goodbye or the Maressey albums, in many way either project was designed to be a suicide note if I ever needed it to be.
I hope people have understood I’ve always tried to make really good albums. I’ve never just thrown pino tracks together or tried to spam the community. Every track said something about the show, the community, and myself, I spent time on every one, planning how to make my thoughts into music and images, and I spent months usually listening and re-listening until the mastering was as good as it could be before an album release. I tried to make each album flow and work as whole. I know compared to many of the people I idolized my music was cheap, disposable, and easy to overlook in a crowd of legitimate musicians. Ultimately it’s this disappointment of seeing many people I loved leave and staying behind in a community that didn’t acknowledge all that I tried to do for it over the years (music, blogs, MLR, Rotlcon, community albums) that made me leave. It was inevitable. And it was the healthiest move I could make.

Pulling these tracks out (right before the election) and putting them on my hard drive I remembered why I had written “The Queen (Royalty)” many years prior. As both a tribute to Queen and to a power mad Celestia it seemed as timely as anything I’d ever written. And the tracks I put on my ipod after that made me realize that they held up and worked together under 2 halves of albums that were never completed. Without The Queen there never would have been a Under the Covers of the Night / The Librarian release. Many of those were never released or as part of my Bandcamp albums. It was an impulse move to put out and its one I hoped would get some positive reaction.
As always I missed the mark. Feedback on The Queen was it was too political, that there’s no reason to spotlight if other tracks were coming, etc etc. My desire to implore people to vote against Trump likely sabotaged the release of the track and the album. It’s tough to make music when there’s every excuse to ignore it and not support it or to wish that you’d changed something about it. That’s the state of community I left and the one I returned to again.
I hope you take the time to listen to this recent album that may be 80 minutes of music but it took years to put together and put out. I think it’s a good compilation that tried to do, what I always tried to, which is make good music about this show, this amazing fandom, and myself. Ultimately I made music for the fans and not those who wanted to be music producers, get careers, and move out. It’s not perfect or polished but certainly neither am I. I also ultimately did a terrible job of keeping up with friends who I really cared about but were busy moving on as well or living their own lives. In the end I try to have good memories of my pony past but they are melancholic, like life. But I tried to release this without thinking of how it could fail but more that it shouldn’t be the reason not to...
If you support brony music, whether from the past or the present, I hope you’ll reblog and spread the word about this album and my music, that’s always tried to be a bit of both.

So the original Vore Song just hit 5 million, something I never thought I'd see happen to a video of mine, let alone such an odd track that I did on a lark. It's been a long strange trip with this song and this is the third and final version of the track (and the long awaited EDM version). Thanks to Ponythroat who made it all happen with his unusual and fantastic art and thanks to all the Freeks who kept the thumbs up outnumbering all the vocal thumbs downs.

FYI, my brother-in-law was in the hospital this week with terminal liver failure due to his chronic drinking habit. While he was discharged the idea that "one more drink" could kill him is something that should sober him up, but time will tell. Some dark but relevant subject matter and a new track to fit the present mood.
After 6 albums and most of a year off, I've got a hoof full of goodies for you. I’ve made some Season 6 episode responses earlier this year as part of this retro themed album called Freek. A lot of sexy and hilarious rule 34 responses through disco re-edits. It also collects and remasters quite a few of my saucier tracks from years ago to include 79 minutes of tantric music (some bonus tracks in here too). Mature audiences only!
I also have the sister album, Miley and Her Sexy Ponies, which also amps up the erotic and is a dreamy vapourwavey /glitch /downtempo version of her ponified tracks. Every mare is a girl with a tale to tell. Everyone who buys Freek will get a link to that remix album.

I'm not sure if I understand what you made here. The description speaks of an old song. Have you just taken a pre-existing song and slapped a pony picture behind it?

It's a ponified disco re-edit. https://www.discogs.com/lists/Essential-Disco-Re-Edits/119438 What I am trying to do is find an existing esoteric track that captures what I'm trying to convey in pony terms, find the cleaned and cut up mlp vocal samples that compliment that and that i can tuck in the track thru eq'ing, editing out the parts of the song that don't fit or elongate it too much, and extend the parts that i really like. In the end its hopefully a seamless track that sounds like it was composed by a brony in the 70's or early 80's, using efforts both in the past and present. It is part of a themed album I've been working on, as well as a way of doing season 6 episode responses (something that is sadly pretty rare now in the community). As always, when I can, I like adding a pmv (for the art that equally inspired me) to make it a real video.
Well I got the creative spirit active again. Maybe I found retirement boring, maybe I had a little too much time outside of work, or maybe I just got to burn out before I fade away. But I’ve been putting out some recent episode responses as part of a retro themed upcoming album / mixtape called Freek. A lot of rule 34 responses through disco re-edits. Visual clop artists can’t have all the fun and I’m definitely enjoying the levity. I know there’s a portion of my audience that’s already heading out the door on that dirty re-direction but I hope those with open minds give this outpouring of music a shot and a little support. Once upon a time there was this nifty little project named Maressey. It got out 2 underground cool indie rock pony inspired tribute albums but promised one or two more. After a few weeks of listening to old wip tracks and with a promise of some summer free time and a breath of self confidence I’d love to see if we could complete the Twilogy. Technically there’s enough tracks for the initial thought of 4 albums but best to aim for a large third album if we can’t get to all of them!
A lot of tracks are done that need to be a part of this and those that aren’t have mostly completed instrumentals. But it would be a shame to have 70-80% of a third album done and just not complete it or release it. So rather then keep in retirement, I’d like to get ‘er DONE this summer! Calling out to all Maressey alumni and anyone else vocally interested and capable.
