thx u omg ;; i wasnt expecting support for my decision at all. i really hate when pd symptoms are vilified and the only place they arent is usually in textbook format which is very detached. so i wanted to try and give people a character with pd symptoms that isnt all bad and acts like a human. im not diagnosed with hpd i am diagnosed with bpd though, which is commonly mistaken as hpd so of course there may be a few discrepancies but hey, everyones experience is different and theres no right way to do it. ive interacted with other cluster b’s so i have a general idea of what im going for.

i decided i wanted to make it public/official for the blog so i wrote a bit about it in one of the info pages i have on the main page. decided itd be best to post it too (even though it scares the shit out of me) so that people know and dont accuse me of dodging or something hhha,,

also sorry for not posting art much, ive been struggling admittedly and just generally very tired but ill get to things again eventually i hope ;; ]

This blog is very headcanon oriented (but I try to keep headcanons within reason of what's canon) and modded by a very emotional mod so there will be some 'edge' :'v And due to this I've decided to play a Napoleon with HPD (Histrionic Personality Disorder). I've spent the past year or so studying personality disorders and have a standing ruled-in diagnosis of a Cluster B personality disorder myself by a psychotherapist so I ask that people not jump the gun and accuse me of being an edgy self diagnosing teen.

As for my reasons to why I'm deciding to play a histrionic Napoleon I would like to list the following:

Flashy attention calling clothing and a tendency to be an attention grabber or the center of attention

Theatrical/dramatic speech patterns and habits 👈👈

A fixation on appearance (this is a flimsy argument as the only basis I have is his sensitivity to other people touching his hat)

Behavior and personality that can come off as or be interpreted as seemingly shallow and/or manipulative

A difficulty in forming deep relationships, most being superficial at their core, and the perception of current relationships being deeper and more meaningful than they really are (Most of his relationships feeling like they're simply for a source of sweets)

Inappropriately provocative behavior (I refer to his relationship with Pastel de Nata in Pastel's backstory, I do know there's the argument that he only acts that way toward Pastel because of his obsession with 'conquering' him but I digress, I'm a lowly headcanon blog)

Volatile mood swings (Another flimsy argument but Napoleon snapping on a freaking 10 year old girl really enforces this I feel)

This won't change my perception of Napoleon nor the way I play him really, I've had this idea since day one since Napoleon just didn’t feel right and really gave me an HPD vibe but I didn't want to publicly announce it yet. Hope this is interesting to you and if you have a problem with it then feel free to block/avoid this blog.

That may be so, but that doesn't mean yours isn't any good! I followed you personally because I really like your take on his character! It doesn't matter if others are better, we like you and your art for YOUR take on him.
