also I ran out of content to post on this blog and this is still gaming related so it fits here!! I’ve been sick so I haven’t been able to continue my DXHR run, but when I do I’m sure more stuff will happen..... I always find ways to break things.
2. A game that has influenced you creatively? Writing, drawing, etc.
A LOT. I don’t even know where to start with this. Just a lot of games. I just want to name every single game when I even think of this question lol. I guess the main ones DXHR, killzone, fallout, infamous, jak series... some other ones I’ve written stuff for in the past but not so much now, but it’s also coming back around... I never really stop ‘liking’ something as it just isn’t the most active thing on my mind until I go back and read my old stuff or play the game again and then I’m like I WANT ALL OF THIS IN MY LIFE AGAIN.
3. Who did you play with as a kid?
My brother. Who was always better at everything. :D
4. Who do you play with now?
Myself. Sometimes I play co-op online with niksilp. I don’t like playing multiplayer competitive modes because they’re annoying.
5. Ever use cheat codes?
Yes. I only ever use them after I’ve played the game until I’m bored with it, and then want to make it hilarious by using the codes.
6. Ever buy strategy guides?
Yes. I like buying CE strategy guides because I’m a compulsive hoarder and they’re pretty and shiny.
7. Any games you have multiple copies of?
I don’t actively remember how many copies of inFamous 1 and 2 I have. 13? lol. It’s over 10. I know that, and I have multiple copies of DXHR as well. And Ocarina of Time (on different platforms, so does that really count?)
8. Rarest/Most expensive game in your collection?
One of my press kits. Those count as games rite? inFamous press kit signed by the dev team, or the spec ops: the line press kit. Was never able to get my hands on the DXHR one which makes me sad still.
9. Most regrettable purchase?
I bought Sonic Unleashed before and played it for 5 minutes and realized it was total garbage and then I sold it, but now my PSN account has a 0% trophy data for sonic unleashed forever burned into my account to let me never forget that game exists and that it is horrible.
10. Ever go to a midnight game release or stand in line for hours?
yes i go to midnight releases. no i haven’t stood in line for hours for a game release, however i did stand in line for hours to play sunset overdrive during some off-site e3 thing.
11. Have you ever made new friends from playing video games?
no. wait. does video game FANDOM count? like, back before i got too shy to exist in fandom? lol. because if so then yea sure niksilp

no. I did get one of those “if u actually played it lel” comments about my fallout shirt I was wearing before though.

DXHR SOUNDTRACK FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! im so excited the same composer is doing DXMD too.

i stream games over the internet sometimes and then laugh 5ever over breaking everything (hi blog content)

DXHR. For sure. Ocarina of Time, as I showed niksilp the last time she visited. I STILL GOT IT. I know Fallout 3 pretty good. Oh, I can also play inFamous like a robot. B)

I... really don’t know? I don’t think there is one.. or nothing that is coming to mind.

I have a closet full of nerd shirts.

Fallout, most likely, but otherwise I’ve spent an ungodly amount of time replaying inFamous and DXHR.

My brother? lol. There was a time I was determined to win him at Super Smash Brothers Melee BACK IN THE DAY~~~ I’m not a shitty game player, I don’t think, but ANYWAY one day I finally did win and even he was like WOW nicely done and i was like UR DAMN RITE SON /puffs up
27. Game that makes you rage?
Ico. lol. Also when I was trying to get the platinum in Spec Ops; The Line there was a part in Chapter 10 that made me want to snap my controller in half and throw my entire ps3 out the window. I DID finally beat it, but it took many moons and I was so pissed off by the time I finally won. Nothing else for the rest of the game was even hard after that.

never tried either one. but ti probably would.

lol i got the platinum trophy in the phineas and ferb game on ps3 if that counts. it wasn’t that hard and it was kind of fun too.

my dad does. except then i found out he killed one of my favorite characters in dxhr and i was like “..........................:) why would you do that.”

i did once. sort of. i never got paid because it was a ‘start up’ business and he kept stringing me along with ‘ONE DAY WE WILL GET THIS OFF THE GROUND’ and he made it sound liek it would be gr8 and we’d be cool important in the industry but I wised up after a while that he didn’t know what he was doing and I left.
36. Have you ever shed actual blood, sweat or tears over a game?
the end of inFamous 2 made me depressed for like 2 weeks. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME
37. Have you played E.T. for the Atari 2600? Do you think that’s the worst game ever, or do you have another nomination?
nah i didn’t play that. i did however have exposure to superman 64 before word got out that it was one of the worst games ever. my dad rented it from the shop bcuz he lieks superman and lulz and anger was had by all. when he managed to win that trainwreck of a game only for it to tell him he had to play it again on a harder difficulty for the real ending he was ready to burn it.
38. A game you’re ashamed to admit that you like?
Nothing I’m ashamed to admit I like, but I feel like I like a lot of games that are severely unpopular. so idk.
39. A sequel that you would die for them to make?
I would not mind Jak 4 like niksilp had in here BUT WHAT I’D REALLY LIKE IS AN INFAMOUS GAME WITH COLE IN IT. its not too much to ask don’t even get started with me why did they end it the way they did huh u hu huh uh uhu h uh uhu huhUHU!Hu1h1UH!UH1Uh11uh1h1u1hH!U or another sly cooper game bcuz i liked sly 4 also. Or moar resistance that isn’t shitty. plz.

motion controls make me sad inside. and idk about head sets. never used one myself.

OFFICIALLY it was ocarina of time that got me more interested in gaming. I’d been playing stuff on and off forever but that was the first game I became really obsessed with, I guess. As for what really kicked it up into high orbitals that would be Fallout 3....

usually, i guess. i like to go for ones where I don’t have to do upclose combat because i’m a sneaky douchebag.

i have no idea. probably something that would tell a deep story, because i like writing stuff, and then i’d never publish it for anyone to play because i’d be afraid of everyone making fun of it, same as my writing. :D

I begged my parents for the entire unit of gamecube. Not even a specific game. Just the actual gamecube.
53. What’s your opinion on DLC these days?
DLC is fine if it’s actually DLC. I hate all this “DAY ONE DLC” crap or the SEASON PASS stuff where you preorder DLCs that will come out someday. How about no? It’s getting ridiculous, especically since some of the season pass stuff can sometimes turn out to be useless stuff like weapons for MP which I don’t even care about.

i never played the sims.

/pets all the pretty trophies/. yes. a lot. I also have another PSN account I made specifically to platinum inFamous a second time because I’m just THAT obsessed with that game. PLEASE UNDERSTAND. (also technically i also platinum’d dxhr twice because of the director’s cut)

i keep them forever because i need to keep EVERYTHING unless i absolutely hated the game and never want to see it again (see: sonic unleashed)

i always tell myself i will never do this BUT I DO IT ALL THE TIME. i bought my ps4 for inFamous: Second Son (with justification there would be more games down the line (true)) and I gave in and got an Xbone for Sunset Overdrive (under the same justification....but I have yet to get another game for it. oops)

UGH I WISH!!!!!!!!!!!! E3 is like a stone’s throw away but it’s closed to the public. :| I did get to go to Bethesda’s e3 thing though this last e3. it was cool. the hype was very real.

yes. i purposely bought a bigger tv because my old one was too small to see stuff on when i was trying to play games from my couch (i couldn’t read the pip boy text from my couch lol)

yes. i had a game shark for the ps1 and i used it to break spyro in the best ways once i’d beaten the games. best fun i ever had. it didn’t break my save files though. I was always rdiciulously careful and made like 1000 copies of everything.

my dad did. i remember playing snake on it. lol.
67. Do you have a happy gaming-related childhood memory you want to share?
MY FAVORITE is when we got Ocarina of Time for N64 back in the day. It was Christmas morning and my dad suddenly picks up this box and acts all surprised “To: Dad. From...Dad!? What could it be!?” and it was Ocarina of Time. He still acted surprised that that’s what it was. Lol.
