The lorax is already a feverdream of a movie but what made it worse is that I watched it with my family RIGHT after our cat had died so I saw it for the first time through tear blurred eyes.

I grew up watching the Joy of Painting, but especially with how my family was about me "wasting" supplies and time (an over dramatic thing I'm still trying to break myself of to this day) I never got to *actually* try any of them.

Finally sat down and did one tonight.

Worked on my tablet to at least persuade the material-waste-demon that it was okay, as ignoring the time-waste-demon is already a monumental task in itself.

Finding ways to get the appropriate textures and blending of Bob's traditional supplies, not overiterating, and challenging myself to figure out colors close to his (very outside my normal palette, I'm bad with color anyway) was occasionally frustrating, but ultimately fun and super rewarding.
