My biggest criticism of Code Vein II is that I think one of the optional dungeons should've ended with you going through the boss fog only to get jumpscared by an inexplicable rematch against Blade Bearer & Cannoneer.

It doesn't matter if Code Vein II is a separate universe from Code Vein I or not, I simply think they should be allowed to clown on you in every timeline.
