Evan had been really busy with work lately, and hadn’t had much time for his girlfriend, which was killing them both. It was their busy season, so as much as it pained him to deny her attempts to come up to the lodge, he didn’t want to make her take a few hour bus ride, only to get a small amount of time with him. Things were calming down a bit and Lauren knew how much it was stressing her son out, so she decided to give him some time off.
He decided to take the opportunity to go surprise Riley. He had ways to communicate with her parents if need be and he also talked to a lot of her friends, as well as being good friends with her uncle. He checked with a few people to make sure it’d be an okay time to come down, before packing up his SUV and drove into the city. He hated going to the city, especially driving, but he did a lot for the girl he truly adored.
Evan got word she was home and not busy, so he went to the brick-stone apartments and parked outside, heading up to their apartment. It was Mrs. Matthews that let him in and told him RIley was in her room.
He smirked devilishly as he went down the hall to her room and tapped his knuckles against the door before leaning against the frame, peering in. “Hey, beautiful. Miss me?” he asked.
