One day a little plot of earth was feeling rather discouraged. Along came a farmer on his way to the market. 'What is troubling you this morning?' He asked with care. 'Oh it's hopeless.' The plot of earth sighed. 'I have got some dung in me. I am useless now.' 'Far from it my friend.' The farmer said. 'Rejoice because I am going to use that dung as fertiliser for this beautiful tree I have in mind.' So much to the surprise of the little plot of earth, the farmer planted a tiny seed in him. He returned daily to water it. Soon a little sprout grew forth from what the little plot of earth thought was a hopeless situation. // And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. It may seem like a small thing but He knew His disciples were hungry after a long night at work out at sea and He cared for them. As we rest in the Lord, we are resting in a Savior who cares for us. Our loved ones may care and that's great but man's love at its very best is still fallible after all. But Jesus' love for you is unfailing. There is not a single detail in your life so small that it is insigninificant to Him and none so big that it is impossible for Him. Cast your cares to the Lord, for He cares for you. #doodle

So i was doing some last minute Christmas shopping last night (while nursing a nasty cold) when something got me thinking. Maybe i should pause from trying to create my own Christmas wonders and just take some time to be in awe of the original Christmas wonder. That God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son. (John 3:16) So my friend, maybe your gifts did come out a little short. Perhaps you ran out of wrapping paper. As we create our own little Christmas wonders, even if we fall short...we can still be thankful of the original Christmas wonder.

Was encouraged by this verse (Hebrews 11:23) because Moses was still a baby and was most probably oblivious to the grave danger he was in. Yet the Lord came through for him. Reading through Hebrews 11 about the heroes of faith reminds me again that its really not about the faith we have but what a faithful Lord He is. Even when our faith fails, Jesus is still faithful.
