Sorry that I missed last week. It was a sucky week and killed my motivation to upload the comic. Had a fun weekend though.

Sorry this one was late, guys.

Now we see why I needed Twilight to think Applejack was flirting with her: to make Applejack mad. This is also why I considered Twilight asking Applejack if she was a "pony of the night," so Applejack would be justified in kicking Twilight off the farm. She does have a reason, but once again, we'll see that later.

Another reason why I needed Applejack to kick Twilight off the farm was because I needed to speed it up. Why? In the original episode Twilight wanted to go through her list as fast as she could, but each pony (minus Pinkie and maybe Rainbow) were forcing her to take her time: Applejack invited her to a lunch to meet her family, Rarity gave her that long, unwanted makeover, and... Well, technically Fluttershy didn't cause Twilight to slow down, but she did make that walk a long, boring one for her.

This Twilight, however, wants to get through the list as slowly as she can, so obviously the ponies aren't going to make that easy.

This page ended up being hard because in the first episode, Applejack isn't mad at Twilight. I can't exactly have her smiling while yelling at Twilight. And since Twilight didn't stay for the lunch, she obv wouldn't have a huge belly. I also couldn't use just any scene where Applejack is mad. It had to be on the farm. Thankfully the episode "Applebuck season" fixes these problems, giving me plenty of scenes of Applejack mad. I did have to fix the first panel though by erasing Applejack's tired lines around her eyes.

Originally I was going to have Twilight ask if Applejack was a, uhhh, "woman of the night." I'm not sure how blue I want this comic. If I go too adult then I'll have to warn that the comic is 18+, but I want teenagers to be able to read this as well, so they can learn more about LGBTQ+ labels and (hopefully) find any that speaks to them. I don't believe that we shouldn't teach kids about gay people. If I make it too kidish though then I can't talk about things I'm planning on talking about.

So, I settled instead of Twilight mistaking Applejack's friendly words as flirting. This is important for the next page.

I also like how Twilight compares a friendly chat to a diplomatic training. This just shows how Twilight isn't only not used to talking to ponies in general, but to normal citizens as well (not that she was talking to noble ponies though). She's just so out of touch with others.

(Also, I once again broke my Applejack rule, but shush. I find it cute.)

Let's play a game! Try to guess which mane six belongs to a letter of the LGBTQ+ (Yes; even the + will be used). Some might be more obvious than others.

This is when I started to take more inspiration from my beloved webcomic "Friendship is Dragons." Mainly how he put the panels so close together to get the most out of the page. I hadn't before because I didn't think it mattered how close the panels were, but after doing this I see that not only does it look better, but I get to put more on the pages.

Please don't be offended by my choice of using words like "hicks," and "backwater town." I've made Twilight talk like this because...she's kinda a Canterlot snob. There's a reason for that, but we'll see that later.

I'm from the country myself, so I'm going to write Applejack how I'm used to speaking/hearing it. Mainly that means NOT DOING WHAT THE MEDIA DOES! This mostly means that the only thing I'm dropping from Applejack is her slang terms ("land sakes!") The only person I knew to use country slang was someone from the older generation. There probably are younger people that use country slang, but like I said, I'm going to write it like how I know.

I did break this rule by having them say "Yeehaw," but 1.) it's funny, and 2.) It's used to show how Twilight views them. It might be normal for them, but to Twilight (somepony that was raised in Canterlot) it's just a stereotype, country-only thing.

That wasn't a very good first impression.

I do think first impressions are important, but even if you give a bad one, then you can try again later. I also think first impressions are important for the things I upload, so I end up stressing about making it perfect the first time, because I'm afraid people won't give me a second chance.

This joke is one of my favs so far. Also, I don't know if anyone will notice, but I changed the guard's mouth a bit in the 2nd bottom panel to match the first one (or at least an attempt to).

The reason I made the guards deaf was because while I was having Twilight and Spike talk about Twilight's plan, I remembered, "oh shoot. That's right; they have guards that can hear everything they say." So, I decided to make them deaf, so it'd be an easy excuse. Plus, it's funny to see Twilight's hoof getting shoved into her mouth.

Once again I asked my best friend Maineventman (his tiktok name) to help with this. He's a big fan of comics (mostly superhero). While I do read comics, I've never paid attention to the finer details, so I ask him for advice. What I asked this time was the speech bubbles of the ponies in the road. I wanted them to talk, but Twilight unable to hear them since they're so high up, so he suggested I made the bubbles smaller. I know, I know. It should have been obvious, but I'm new at this.

I also like how Twilight calls them backwater hicks, and the ponies below are marveling at the chariot. I'm NOT saying this makes them backwater hicks (cause they're not), but rather to show that they're not used to such things in Ponyville, especially a royal chariot. This would make Twilight feel she's proved her point, since she is used to seeing such things.

I really think the Princess hardly ever visited Ponyville. Not only is she busy ruling Equestria, but she has other cities to visit. Ponyville was probably a peaceful town that she hardly had a reason to visit. Of course this all changed when her favorite student, Twilight, started to live in Ponyville. She then had a reason to visit.

One thing that not even the show can agree on is if Spike is Twilight's little brother or her son. I personally see them as mother/son, but for reasons that isn't going to work in this universe, so I'm trying to make Spike act more of a little brother than he did in the show. One example is doing something behind her back, try to act innocent, and then later be like, "Twilight still can't be mad at me. That happened awhile ago!" (I didn't actually grow up with a little brother.)

I had different jokes for the ending. Such as, "...can you get our of my face?" and "...are you going to tell me?" I couldn't decide, so I had my best friend Maineventman (His Tiktok name) choose for me, and he chose this one!

Did you think the other jokes were funny as well, or was this one the best of the best?

Sorry this one was late. I was getting my patreon set up! I've got some tiers set up where if you give 5 dollars a month, you get the next page a week in advance! If you give 10 dollars a month, you get all pages I made as soon as I make them!

Even if you can't do monthly tiers, I've set it up where you can buy the post one-time, if you want it ahead of time. They're the same price as the tiers. The money will go to getting me groceries, and maybe a few fun things, but mostly groceries. It would help me a lot if people could spare some money, but if you can't, then I understand.
