“I don’t think I know any Tori-” Asriel started, but quickly cut himself off. He hadn’t often heard his mother referred to by that name. She was more commonly ‘Mom’, ‘Miss Dreemurr’, or ‘Tori’. But hearing the first syllable of dad’s silly pet name for her managed to jog the child’s memory.

“OH! You mean Mom! You should have just said so! Of course I’m related to Mom! She’s my mom, silly!” That was far too many ‘moms’ for a single sentence. This was getting ridiculous. “Do you know her or somethin’?”

They give a wider smile, and reach up to tuck their hair behind their ear, shifting where they stood.
