Long ramblings and outtakes under the cut.
I don’t even know how to properly say thank you to the actual *team* that has accompanied me over the past months. Starting out as a simple means to work on my pronunciation back in April last year (?!) I didn’t even expect this thing to leave the confines of my bedroom, so having others invest their time and encouragement is still bonkers to me.
First and foremost, a huge, huuuuuge amount of thank you’s to @outrageousring5655 and @mybelovedismine for beta listening. You guys caught so many of my German slips, even corrected some pacing problems and made my fear of French loanwords even worse. You deserve all the chocolates and croissants in this world!
I still can’t believe @paperclipninja composed some actual music for this. Clip, it was an absolute honour to get all those glimpses into your working process, exchange some ideas via remote band practice, and see all of it come together so nicely. Every time I edited the chapters and put the music in, I was just sitting there and listening in awe. And I don’t expect that to ever change, tbh.
Another huge amount of thank you’s and hugs to @lickthecowhappy and @outrageousring5655 for lending their charming voices and helping me get through some rough patches, by either listening to my endless ramblings or making me clown around in front of the microphone to get rid of my perfectionism. I can’t believe you guys put up with me on a regular basis, like, voluntarily. If I were you, I’d ask for compensation.
One million fruit baskets for @voluptatiscausa. Vol, you were the first one to listen to this back in April 2024 when I didn’t even know what soundproofing was, let alone how to pronounce the word “apricot”. It’s a privilege to have you pour so much enthusiasm and encouragement into this, when I’m really just delivering what you wrote. You created something profound and beautiful and full of tragedy and hope, and I’m sure I’m not the only one to say that this fic means so much to me. From the bottom of my heart: Thank you for writing it and sharing it with us.

As someone who's never posted on AO3 before I gotta be frank and say I really have no fucking clue. I mean, one of them (ahem, Gala Fic) is definitely gonna be E rated and will probably include one of my ever favourite tags, "Crowley Cries During Sex," which will all be my lovely co-author's work though (ahem, 🫵🏻). So I can't really put that on my List of Accomplishments.
🤔What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?
Oh, definitely the one I call Astronaut Noir. It's about Aziraphale, a detective, being sent to an abandoned colony planet to find out what happened. Crowley, who'll definitely be a rival of sorts, will follow him by illegal means and for reasons I shan't disclose yet. It's all very hazy still, with a lot of wiggle room plot-wise, but a big part of the vibes will be the film noir aesthetics which will be reflected by the world building and characters (and probably the artwork too. you can't just not have artwork for a fic like that).

Oh, I actually have an answer to 🍄 (!!): Song of Achilles + Magic =my current WIP
♻️: So many scrapped ideas it's hard to list. Originally this story was supposed to be a series of flashbacks interspersed within a bigger story, but I realized there was enough here to fill out an entire book on its own. Will it remain as one book? Or will I go back to the original idea once I finish this and know I can tighten it way up? I'm not sure. It's a sequel that's a prequel, so taking people away from the main conflict is always tricky, but we did leave the main story in a relatively settled place (meaning there don't NEED to be follow ups but there can be if the author is feeling particularly saucy. And I love a good sauce), so it's more an exploration of the past than a detour away from the present.

Through an unnerving amount of time in forced proximity, bribery by wine and latenight debates, and one memorable occasion of being pushed up against the wall of the barn for purely educational reasons, Crowley had come to know what Aziraphale Fell smelled like.

The Barn Incident is an actual plot point on my list, yes, and it will probably be very silly :D
And to answer your tags: I'm not sure if I'll ever post my stuff because in order to do that I'll have to finish writing it. But let's say optimistic here!!

🛠Is there a scene or anything in the WIP you are struggling with right now?
My biggest problem with any story is that once I make it to either chapter 11 (no joke), or the point of no return, I hit a massive wall. With my current WIP it's the latter.
Imagine stable hand Crowley who works for Gabriel's dragon rider estate. Crowley just managed to catch a wild dragon and wants to sell it to Gabriel because he needs the money. Gabriel doesn't want it and tells Crowley to release the dragon again. Crowley has been trying to do just that for more than 7 months now (by which I mean: I did. I have been trying to write that scene for more than 7 months now). Not my fault tho, is it?
🤡How many Wips are you actively working on?
"Only" 3 right now, all of them GO fics. But I have a stash of about 4 major original works in the corner that I try very hard to ignore.
