frog Executive Creative Director Denise Gershbein on #impactdesign. "All design has social impact."
frogs know how to do #Halloween. Happy Monday, ya'll.
Our first #InsightsmAgri post from the field. One of the things we seek out to accomplish when we talk to our participants is to screen and capture the “extreme users” of any given industry. The reason being is that by identifying the fringes of such archetypes, this helps to inform what the average profile looks like much more precisely than just interviewing the most average at all times.
Ethan Imboden on relearning design through entrepreneurship, onstage at #wiredbydesign.
frog Jonas Damon spoke at #WiredByDesign about what inspires him as a designer. Up next, Ethan Imboden...

#frogNYC discusses design research methodologies and insights from the field at the weekly creative forum.
#InsightsHDX From field notes and research insights, to an initial draft of the information architecture. The Humanitarian Data Exchange platform design is starting to take shape at the frog studio. #frogImpact
frogs just wrapped work on our #SFDWTours chalk art. See ya'll at 8pmPST. (at frog design)
Tomorrow. #SFDWTours. The Sticky Notes from 8-9pm at our frog studio in San Francisco.
#InsightsHDX @UNOCHA_EA The frog team wrapped three weeks of research today, interviewing humanitarian partners in New York, Colombia, and Kenya. Following synthesis of the field work, the frogs will partner with OCHA’s development team in an agile process to design core features, functionality, and experiences for the HDX platform. #frogImpact
#InsightsHDX @iHub Lessons learned at iHub Nairobi this afternoon: Data privacy is an issue at both the detail and aggregate level. When scraping data from social media, analytics can attribute patterns of behavior (such as hate speech) to individuals. This raises an ethical question around where data visualization should be applied and which audiences are appropriate consumers. #frogImpact
#InsightsHDX Reports (rather than raw data) are primarily shared among partners in the Humanitarian community. This makes it challenging to disaggregate datasets, compare information, and build comprehensive analytic tools. #frogImpact
#InsightsHDX @UNICEFKenya frog wrapped research in Colombia last week and relocated to Nairobi to continue explorations of the data landscape surrounding humanitarian work. With each conversation and collaboration, the global picture of humanitarian data exchange comes more into focus. #frogImpact
#uxforgood We visited a small educational center aimed at explaining the history of the genocide and of the reconstruction of Rwanda to children between 10-20 years-old. The humanization of the tragic events through real stories of perpetrators and survivors, and symbolic stories of the following reconciliation, help the new generation assume the critical thinking and empathy that are needed to run the country in the future. - Roberta Tassi
