Previously Titled: It’s So Hard(And It’s Cold Here)
“The audience laughed in approval; a sound reminiscent of the Truman Show. Peter dropped his pen. It slid off his notebook and onto the gravel below.
Everybody knew.
Peter tangled his hands in his hair and yanked in a helpless devastation. Happy, Fury, Rhodey, Pepper, the Avengers, Strange, Wong. Everybody knew. Even before the memory of Peter Parker had been wiped from the world. Everybody that mattered had known, and they had all kept it from him.”
or Peter Parker discovers that running from fragments of himself comes with a heavy price.
After all, what is sacrifice without consequence?

“I’m alright. I turned out just fine. Mom and I have each other,” she reassured, “we’re strong.”
The words didn’t feel right to hear. A part of him wanted her to hate him, to tell him he’d made a mistake. Maybe it was selfish. No, it was absolutely selfish. He would never get to see her grow up or teach her how to drive or beat up shitty boys or- just any of it. He could never be there.
She would never need him.
“Are you?”
She broke eye contact and directed her gaze toward the ground. He squeezed her hands encouragingly. If this was the only opportunity he would ever get to be a father, he would do everything in his power not to fuck it up.
Or Tony gets to talk to his daughter one final time.

"He wasn’t ashamed, but he also wasn’t naive. He wasn’t oblivious to the way peers and adults shifted uncomfortably when he rambled on a moment too long. The intentions of, “Oh…we’re still talking about that?” weren’t lost on him.
There were a very select number of people who genuinely knew him and still wanted to be around him. Due to this, he spent a lot of time simply pretending he was someone else, and it worked, for the most part."

It had been over a year since Peter Parker felt an ounce of stability. All he wanted was to feel normal again, so he decided to put himself back out there and pursue a friendship with his co-worker at the Daily Bugle, Gwen Stacy.
Just when things were beginning to look up, everything went south. After a life-altering secret comes to light, his whole world shatters.
Now, Spider-Man must pick up the pieces and move forward.
or a home trilogy fix-it where Peter Parker discovers that running from fragments of himself comes with a heavy price.
Nothing Without the Suit (Nothing With it Either)

Flash Thompson had always given Peter trouble. It wasn't new and it wasn't unexpected either. However, almost overnight, Flash's obnoxious ribbing and mean jokes at his expense escalated into something a little less manageable. Having superhuman strength, Peter Parker should have no problem defending himself, but...he's not just Peter Parker anymore. Spider-Man has values and morals he needed to uphold. Those two worlds couldn't contradict each other. Being a hero wasn't about what he did when everybody was watching.
Sometimes, being a hero meant taking a fist to the jaw because it wasn't fair to fight back, right?
or the promised sequel to Throw a Wrench in my Plans (I'll Rewrite them for You)
Can be read stand-alone, but there are references to the previous one-shot

Peter didn't mean to seem ungrateful. It was really nice that Tony had been more present lately, it was just...he didn't feel secure like this. What if he made a mistake again? Was Tony just going to throw him to the curb again? So, the teen decided that was that. He wouldn't grow attached to the man, and neither of them had to think too hard about it. It should've been easy, but for whatever reason, the vigilante just couldn't seem to get off the hook.
or Tumblr prompt: Tony never genuinely apologizes for the Vulture incident. Peter begins to feel uncomfortable around Tony because of it.
I’ll be better for you, I promise

"Peter had always hoped that in his last moments, he’d be taken on a brisk walk down memory lane. Maybe he’d be greeted with a compilation “Best of: Peter Parker,” with a music box pinging in the background. The scene would be painted in some golden hue, and there would be soft edges and dulled laughter.
Instead, Peter was greeted with a blinding white light and an insurmountable pain. Eventually, his nerve endings fried, and he felt nothing on his right side at all. He had wielded the forces of the whole universe in his fist, and it had been excruciating. Nobody was meant to hold that kind of power. He never wanted it. He hoped that whatever deities waited beyond the gates of death for him understood. He hoped they could forgive him."
