The best thing about the NBC Hannibal fandom (the fannibals) is nobody takes themselves too seriously so there’s no room for drama. You ship Will and Hannibal? Great. You don’t and think Will’s strictly straight. That’s great too. You kin a cannibal serial killer and think he’s “baby”? Awesome. So does like half the fandom.

Hannibal is a show that literally doesn’t take itself seriously either, so it’s only fitting. I mean for a “horror/thriller/drama” show it’s hilarious. Hannibal literally framed Will for murder and then got sad that Will wasn’t talking to him (the silent treatment) and proceeded to prove Will’s innocence.

This is exactly why i love this fandom.

𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆: One of our first emotional moments with Will Graham is him rescuing a stray dog from the other side of the road and we see that this damaged man has great has capacity to care about those around him and after killing Francis Dollarhide with Hannibal Lecter he realizes this is exactly what Hannibal wanted all along.

He has wanted a parter in crime, a murder husband, as it were. And the sad truth of it all is Hannibal was right. Will did enjoy it. Will thought it was a beautiful, powerful thing. And in that realization that what they experienced together was beautiful, Will realizes that his return to humanity is going to be so much more difficult than he ever anticipated, so this should be his end of humanity. And off they go. It’s beautiful.
