Conditions favorable. Tragedy to follow.
- Albert Camus
This one came from a book I was reading while visiting my brother in Montreal. He had just got out of hospital and was recovering by way of a portable battery powered suction pump attached to the massive open wound on the back of his leg. It was about the size of a getto blaster, permanently affixed to his leg via a couple of tubes, made beeping noises every now and then, siphoned blood from the wound, weighed a fair bit, and was worth a small fortune.
