online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.

and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.

there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.

i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

Hey! So it’s been a year since my last page. I don’t know who My hyperfixation switched HARD back to Undertale, so I’m working on the comic again!

I don’t know if anyone still follows this comic, but here you go.

A little update.

So I’m running 2 comics right now, one of which is very involved with my current hyperfixation. This one, and Controlled Chaos on @chipped-dt. I had told myself that I would alternate between making comic pages for each comic, so neither would go without attention.

I’m currently drawing page 8. And I have been stuck on the first panel for weeks. I can’t work on it for extended periods of time because I keep thinking about drawing CC.

Given that my focus is elsewhere and that CC has more of a following and hype surrounding it, I’m going to pause on FDTD until I get that out of my system.

I don’t want this comic to become a chore. It’s a story I want to tell, and one I want to tell well. But right now my heart and motivation aren’t in it, so it makes it tough to draw it. So for now, we’re having a little hiatus. But I’ll be back soon! Thank you for your patience and I’m sorry.

So I’m currently working on page 6.

I think comic pages are going to be very inconsistent with some things, like text size, lighting, motion depiction, and just little things like that. And I’m sorry about that. But it’s my first time doing colored, illustrated storylines so I’m experimenting with a lot to see what works.

So yeah. Bear with me!
