Rosie waited until the boy had gotten some time to heal once the fawn had been taken home. It would do no good to summon him up when he was fragile. She wanted to scare him straight, she wanted to ensure he’d at least think before doing something so damn stupid again (he wouldn’t), but fully traumatizing him more if he was already fragile might wind up being counterproductive…

And so she waited, her crimson eyes seeped in the floorboards of the hotel watching him. Like a warden, and like a guardian, and a distant protector. A judge, about to deliver the sentence. He wouldn’t be a very happy fawn by the end of this meeting.

Alastor dragged her feet getting here, he was five minutes late for their meeting, which was unusual for him. Not hard to tell why.

She flung the door open before the fawn even made it on her stoop, ears back like she predicted. Something in her heart clenched and released in one seeing him here, alive, and safe. It was almost overwhelming, after what she’d witnessed. She stomped it down. First order of business.

“Alastor, honey bun, my little frolicking fawn…get in here!”

He wasn’t given a choice, her claws grabbing his lapels and yanking him into the door.
