Forever 21 BCD VIP Party

This is actually a long overdue post! Haha. I was fortunate enough to get invited to Forever 21 Bacolod’s exclusive launch last year. Being the frugal shopper that I am, I was really excited to check out what’s in store. The hardest part was trying to control myself from buying all the cute clothes and shoes! In the end, I just bought a cute set of rose gold makeup brushes. More photos under the cut ;)

Mini Staycation

Last week, I terribly craved for a well-deserved weekend getaway. However, being the lazy ass that I am, I wasn't ready for a long ride. I wasn't up to spend tons of moolah either. Finally, after talking my friend into going to an Up Dharma Down concert, we decided to have a little sleepover in a charming hotel after that night's gig.

Part of our plan was also to have a quick dip in a pool. Now, there are actually quite a lot of accommodation options with swimming pools in Bacolod. But being the millennial that we are, we wanted an ~instagram-worthy~ pool as well as a clean and comfy room, and something that would fit our tight budget. After a series of checking and comparing rates online, I hit the jackpot when I found Circle Inn! Their rates start at only 1090 PHP. Definitely a steal!

I don't have a credit card so I emailed their reservations officer about my dilemma and she promptly processed my reservation. No hassle at all. Plus points for Circle Inn's customer service!

If you are not in the mood to drive far away from the city but want to escape the hustle and bustle, I highly suggest visiting Circle Inn. Perfect for barkada sleepovers!

Punong Gary's Place is an Asian-fusion restaurant tucked in a serene hacienda in Silay City, Negros Occidental (just a quick drive from Bacolod). They serve a sumptuous 5-course plated lunch and dinner tastefully prepared by Chef Joey Benin every Wednesday - Sunday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm for 750 pesos per person. If you’re into tapas and cocktails, you can drop by every Thursday and Friday between 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Guests can also take a dip in the lap pools for an additional charge of 150 pesos. It might sound pricey but every cent is REALLY WORTH IT. The photos we took aren't enough to describe how lovely the place is. Shoutout to Architect Ledesma! Aside from inasal, you definitely can’t leave Bacolod without trying the sinfully delicious cakes at Calea. With their unbeatable price range and mouthwatering desserts, a visit to Calea should be in your Bacolod itinerary. My personal favorite would be the fruity cheesecake. Other popular choices are the double chocolate cake, mudpie, and mango cheesecake.
