maybe growing up is just becoming who you were at 14 again but learning how to love her this time
God Bless the Bark Beetle
people without any whimsy scare me. why are you like that. where are your trinkets.
I just want to remind you that sometimes your life really doesn't begin until you are 26+... Romanticizing and obsessing over our youth is harmful. Growing up is beautiful. Discovering who you are and how you interact with the world is a gift. Maturing and learning what you truly want out of life and living in that purpose brings fulfillment and peace. Your life is not over in your early 20's because you haven't figured it out yet, it's just beginning.
An important thing to remember and put into practice
the trees you grew up with have not forgotten you. their branches still whisper your name in the breeze and their roots remember the paths your feet once traced through their shade.
I really love this as I spent a lot of my childhood sitting up in a tree in our yard. The branch I sat in was cut down by the neighbours unfortunately but the memories still prevail. To think that my beloved tree remembers me as fondly as I do it fills me with such warmth

Bury me down, down, down
among the roots
think to yourself you have gotten rid of me
but I have only returned to where I have always belonged
watch as I grow, stretching, reaching towards the unending sky
thank you for the nourishment you provide
The gently falling snow,
the pitter-patter of paws on hardwood floors,
a nostalgic smell wafting over from the stove,
and a warm smile with a hand to hold

I’m supposed to be sleeping but I made a side blog so I could post about cephalopods instead
There is something serene about places where nature decays
When I die
Will you walk among the ashes of my life?
Will you hold my dust close to your chest?
When the soot remains of me are adrift in the air,
will you breathe me in?
Told my self I would write a quick summary of the dnd one shot my friends and I played this weekend.
12 pages later and I am not even half way through.

Started to watch “Anne with an E” and I am already sobbing on episode 2.
