SPEED DATING (OPEN)
Christian stood on top of the bridge that connected his house to his backyard. Creek Manor was really a beauty...it's mystic atmosphere reminded him so much of his father. He was a man that held so many mysteries to him. Christian only saw partially of the "real him." His father was always in a bubble. It was him and his city, thats it. When it came to raising Christian, the only thing he really instilled in him, was to respect his city. To always hold admiration for the people, because it was the people who either could make you or break you. You'd have to win them over in order to make your legacy one for the books. You didn't want to rule people who hated your guts. The people were waiting on Christian to settle down, but he wasn't ready for that just yet. He wanted to explore, and get to know his potentials. Having a first Duchess of Creek Manor was important to him, and he wanted to make sure he had the perfect type, the perfect one.
This was his seventh date this week...Monday night was special, but also overbearing. The lady was so respectful and delightful to talk to, but she was over doing it. She had agreed with everything that he said, Christian loathed a yes sir lady. He wanted someone that could possibly debate him, or someone who held different views on life. It reminded him of Prince Hakeem on Coming to America...."Yes your highness, whatever you like....whatever you like..." HUGE turn off. It sucked to, cause she was sexy as fuck.
Tuesday? Okay...she was too damn old. This lady was in her late 40's...Christian loved the MILFS, however, it wasn't his type. He respected them on so many levels though, but it threw him back to his mother...and that aint a flex.
Wednesday...she was shy. Cute, but too shy, can be an overkill.
Thursday...He fucked this one, cause thats what she wanted the most. The fleshy part of him didn't mind, but a lady who wants to fuck on the first date? Is not a lady for him. He enjoyed it though.
Friday...boring.
Saturday...these were twins...they were interesting. One was really likable, but she did everything her twin did, which was hard because it was like he was dating just one person. It was an instant no for him. Christian did, however, like that they could do some magic in the sheets. It was an experience that he wouldn't forget. Again though, fucking on the first, wasn't his thing, but he wasn't going to turn it down.
Now, here we are....Sunday. It was his resting day, but he didn't mind giving it another shot. He allowed the guest to come to his own home, which is something he usually didn't do. Christian was looking out at the water, when he heard a pretty voice...that was a plus, because it got him to turn around.
"Why hello..." He extended his hand, "Christian...you are....?"
Jade still didn't know why she was convinced to do this whole speed dating thing. Perhaps it was her relatives' way of telling her that she needed a life outside of music and her studies. Her mother was definitely pushing her towards a more vibrant social life. Since her father was murdered, Jade pretty much kept to herself. However, she was getting older, and it's been years since then. It was about time to put herself out there more. So, here she was, in her green and black dress, hair and makeup done, looking to see what happens.
This blind dating situation led Jade to a big mansion. This one was her mother's doing. As the Director General of the National Crime Agency, her mom knew pretty much everyone. Whether or not that would help Jade would be anyone's guess. But, for her mom, Jade gave it a shot.
After being let in by the butler of the home, Jade was led to the backyard area. His back was turned to her, looking at the water. She made her presence known with a soft "hello."
He turned around and greeted her with a smile. He was, indeed, very handsome. Okay, mom... you may know what you're talking about, she thought to herself. Placing her hand in his, she introduced herself. "I'm Jade," she said. "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you." He extended his hand and put it to his lips to kiss it. It was a royal thing to do. "You caught me in my thoughts. I was contemplating canceling, but now that I see who I will be spending this evening with, I'm glad I didn't listen my gut time." He smiled. "Don't take offense to that statement by the way, It's internal thing that I have been battling. Dating recently, haven't been successful, I won't lie to you."
“No offense taken,” Jade responded with a slight chuckle. “Honestly, I kinda felt the same way. But then I would not have heard the end of it from my mother. She always tries to set me up on dates and such… but she might have succeeded this time, so I can’t be too mad.”
This Christian character seemed very nice and polite at least. And he was handsome. But there was something else about him, something deeper. Jade wanted to find out more, so maybe she will see this whole blind date through. Looking around, she said, “So, my mother told me that you were in high society, but didn’t disclose what you do exactly. So, I wanted to get to know more about that.”
Pomp and Circumstance (Open)
Another day, yet another charity event that Vanessa had to attend with her father. This time, it was with the local orphanage. As boring as it may be to others, Vanessa actually enjoyed spending time with the kids. They have always been her soft spot. She just wished that her father didn't treat it as more of a press event. Vanessa was the kind of woman that was very low-key with her volunteering. However, that came with the territory of being the Princess of Cardiff. Everything was public, whether she liked it or not.
Following their time, she looked to her father as they walked out. "You're riding with us, Vanessa?" her father asked her. She wrinkled her nose and shook her head. "Nah, I think I'm going to go for a walk to the cafe or something. But I'll catch up with you later." She gave her father a kiss as they parted.
Sometimes, folks are still shocked that Vanessa enjoyed just being by herself, getting some coffee and some alone time. Thankfully, folks don't really bother her too much, which allows her a sense of normalcy. Reaching her favorite cafe, she stood in line and waited to order, feeling some eyes on her for some reason...
Jolianna had stopped at one of her favorite coffee shops which just happened to be down the street from one of the orphanages that she visited weekly. She made it her goal to stop by a few orphanages a week and spend time with the kids. It was her mission in life. Jolianna didn't see the point in being a Dutchess if she wasn't able to help others, especially kids.
She had seen the Princess of Cardiff there with her father. She figured it was a PR thing; that's what the royals did. What she didn't expect to see was the princess in line at the same coffee shop as her without any security. Jolianna wasn't a princess but she lived a life of luxury much like the girl in front of her. She had security at the ready, but here this girl was with her guard down completely. "You should get the raspberry muffin. It's to die for... and you really shouldn't be out here alone. You know, without security."
Looking behind her, she acknowledged the young lady, seemed to be around the same age. She gave a smile. “Thanks, I think I will try that muffin. It does look good,” she responded. “As for the security… not really too much of my style. I like being by myself sometimes, ya know?”
As they made Vanessa’s order, she looked back at the girl. “You look familiar,” she said. “Are you kin to some of the local royalty too? Lisburn, right?… I think I’ve seen you at some of our balls.”
Jolianna smiled at the girl. "I understand that. Always having to live under a microscope is no way to live if you ask me." She looked at the display of baked goods to decide what she would order for herself.
"Yea, I'm Jolianna. I saw you and your dad at the orphanage earlier. Volunteer work?"
“Yeah, I normally go to the orphanage by myself though,” she said with a laugh. She knew that the unusual presence of press and hoopla was too much, but as long as the work was done, that was all that mattered. “I keep telling my father that we do not need press, but he ignores me as usual. Sometimes I even wonder why I tell him.”

PROFILE: Meet Vanessa
When the news was out that Morris has appointed Caden to be the next in line for Belviar's Crown, she couldn't believe it. After all Caden has done to Morris in the past, it was shocking to say the least. Elexa thought they Morris and her relationship was more connected because of him taking care of her when she was younger. Elexa didn't get the Royal treatment as Caden and Morris did. She was born after Morris' and Caden's mother had left their father. No one approved of Elexa's mother, they still didn't have respect for her to this day. That situation, had always put Elexa in a terrible position even before she was born.
The only way she was able to free herself of anymore ridicule, was to move. She left Belviar at the age of 16 and moved back to Great Britain where her and her mother was from. She was schooled there, befriended her group there, and made a name for herself as Great Britain's reigning Misses. She won the people over with her beautiful personality and strong bold features.
Caden's heir news brought her back to Belviar. She was always welcomed to Belviar, and now that she was Miss. Great Britain, it's like the people of Belviar forgave her for misdeeds that she didn't have any control over. It was crazy how status could change people's view of you. Had she not won that crown, they would still shun her.
"Congratulations are in order."
She walked through the service hall doors and into Caden's chambers. "Though you are not Grand Duke yet, how does it feel?"
@frontpaigeviews
A familiar voice greeted Caden as his back was turned. His half-sister. He knew that it was a matter of time before she showed up. Apparently word got to her that he was heir apparent. So, he assumed that she was here to ask why.
“It feels okay,” he responded as he turned around. “It’s an adjustment, but honestly… nothing I can’t handle in time.” Caden had an often tumultuous relationship with Elexa. In a way, it stemmed from her mother. In his eyes, she was a constant reminder of why his mother left. Morris was closer to her, and as much as Caden tried to understand and mend fences, apparently Elexa didn’t want to. That makes her sudden visit even more puzzling.
"It is not everyday that the wayward child gets named Heir, what did you do? Bribe him?" She laughed at the joke, but was plenty serious. "That used to be your M.O. unless things have changed." Elexa reached and brushed his shoulders off, "You're a little dusty there brother."
"Reason for my being here, is to have breakfast with Morris and yourself. Did he not tell you?"
“No, it slipped his mind, apparently,” Caden responded, brushing off her dig at him. “And no, I didn’t bribe him. He obviously saw something in me that convinced him that I would be able to handle all that comes with being the Grand Duke, when and if the time comes. That’s it and that’s all.”
He neatened up his lapel on his jacket before proceeding to put on his watch. “I know you may find it hard to believe, but I’m actually mature enough to handle the job.”
Elexa laughed at his statement. "Mature enough?" She stepped back and squinted her eyes as if waiting for him to say, "I'm just joking."
"Caden, maturity is just not a word that you can throw around at your own sake. Maturity is a long life process that you can't go back on or double down.," she folded her arms. "If this is all true, then it's something that I can't wait to observe. I believe you said this to father before, how Mature you were, then convincing our brother, you even tried to convince me once, and you were drunk that night."
Elexa's negative trait was bringing up the past to use it again those that she loved. She tried to work on that with her life coach, but as you can see, she is dipping back into her old ways and may want to find another life coach soon.
"If you have changed, I can't wait to see it. The people need a person who stands on truth, loyalty, and being a person of their word.
“Ahh… and there it is.” Caden chuckled as he continued to get dressed. He’s been holding his tongue for so long because… well, let’s face it. His half-sister was perhaps the biggest bitch he’s ever met in his life. Always condescending, a keeper of grudges, all because of the insecurities she had of being his father’s bastard child. The one that no one fully accepted, and therefore compensated that by winning some phony beauty queen title.
“Well… I’m definitely showing maturity by holding my tongue on what I’m truly feeling about you in this moment… so, I guess that’s a start,” he responded. How dare she, of all people, question his loyalty to the royal providence? Yes, he made mistakes as kids do, but he grew from that. He’s damn near 30, and he wasn’t going to let anyone question his loyalty… especially the child of his father’s mistress.
Before she could open her mouth to rebuttal, Morris came from his chambers and met them both. "I didn't think to see the both of you in the same room so quickly." He approached Lady Elexa first, she extended her hand as he kissed it.
Morris had his fathers heart. He held a great deal of compassion for everyone, even those that done him wrong, his kindness always seemed to vibrate through Belviar. It was a his grace but also his misery. Elexa to him was precious, he turned a blind eye to a lot of the things she would say simply because he thought she was misguided and misunderstood. There was no telling what her mother instilled in her head when it came to them. Morris was the one that took care of her and took her in soon after her mistreatment of the people. He loved her. He couldn't see her faults, because she played with his mind well.
"Brother." She smiled and bowed her head gracefully. "Morris it's so good to see you." She faked it and faked it well. "I was just having a chat with our brother about his maturity and how it changed."
Morris looked at Caden...his expression said otherwise, but like always, he turned the blind eye, but made sure to let it be know that his decision was final. "He has definitely matured, I am proud of him which is why I placed him in the position as Heir to my throne. He deserves it. Don't you think Elexa?"
"Sure."
She nodded and looked the other way. "I think it's time for breakfast..yes?"
"That is a good idea...after you..." Morris allowed Lady Elexa to give way and as she was steps ahead of them, Morris took the opportunity to talk to his brother. "What was that about?"
Caden simply looked at their interaction. In his brother’s eyes, Elexa could do no wrong. That’s the thing about Morris. No matter what, he saw the good in everyone. He was kind hearted… sometimes, to a fault. Caden was more of a “seeing both sides in totality” person. However, he can’t fault his older brother for his pure heart. In fact, that’s the one thing, as his younger brother, he wanted to protect.
“Nothing to worry about, Bro,” he responded. “Let’s get to breakfast, okay?”
Morris knew that the two of his siblings were going to have some sort of exchange. Though Caden didn't give him the full story, he was aware that it might not have been that pleasant.
As all three of them sat for breakfast, his Maiden's dressed their table and prepared it with pre-made appetizers such as charc board full of cheeses, meats...glasses of watermelon hibiscus tea (Morris' favorite tea), coffee, wine, orange juice, and water. To fill them up a little bit, wine infused grape jelly and their father's signature biscuits were prepared.
"This looks wonderful Lady Alice, thank you." He said to his head maiden of the house.
"It does, everything, I mean...wonderful Alice," Elexa chimed in after,
"Caden, how's the training for you going? Has everyone made you comfortable, answered your questions? Treated you respectfully? I want to know, make sure that my team is doing what they should.
Elexa chewed on her tongue. Envious wasn't the word. There was no words for how she felt about Caden. She tried her best to always fit in and be close to him, but when they were younger, he treated her different. He only spoke to her when addressing the family, and whenever their father would be present, he only engaged for his liking. Whenever their father was not around, he ignored her most of the time. She was hurt by this. Elexa didn't ask to come into the world, but she did, and because of that, she was looked upon so differently. Caden might as well could have been those people of Belviar that never gave her chance. When Morris gave him this attention, she couldn't help but be jealous of it.
“Training is going alright, thank you,” Caden responded. It was truly a lot of work, but he was preparing for it the best way he knew how. A lot was riding on him. No one fully understood the amount of pressure he was under. True, this role would not be expected of him for quite a while. However, he had to start preparing now, and that meant leaving behind any and everything that would not benefit him and his well being. And that included negative energy.
“For the most part, everyone was respectful. Everything was running smoothly, and all questions were answered.”
"That is really good to hear brother," he smiled. "It will take some time to get used to, but once the next few months pass, you will be ready without a doubt, you've always been quick on your feet and a fast learner."
"Very truthful." Elexa interceded.
Morris shook his head and looked to her, "and what about you?", he asked. "How is the pageant coming along? I also hear of a new podcast? I didn't get a chance to listen last night but I heard it was very good."
Pleased that he asked her, she was beaming. "Thank you for asking..., The Miss Universe Pageant will go underway next weekend. I am so excited for it. To be able to represent my home means the world to me."
"Great Britain has a brilliant woman representing them, of course it's an honor for them to have you," Morris said.
"It's an honor for me. As you both know, it wasn't easy for me." She looked at Caden. "I never wanted things to happen the way that they did, as I didn't know about it to begin with, I was an infant."
Morris looked between the two...he was curious as to why she was focused so much on Caden. "All I ever wanted was to be accepted, and this pageant made a way for that."
"I don't think it's just the pageant," Morris gained her attention again. "Elexa...you have stood by this family in the mist of all the drama and scandal with my own father. You were innocent and young, yet still willing to be supportive of us both...Caden and I."
Elexa looked toward Caden as to rub it in his face. Yea...she thought, you need to know how much I have done for you.
"Thank you Morris, I really do appreciate it. I would expect to see the both of you there." She smiled.
"Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world...we wouldn't miss it...right Caden?" Morris looked to his brother.
There it goes. The pressure again. The pressure to go along to get along. Caden absolutely hated that he is now being put into a position to support a person he really didn’t know… and, judging by the childish way she was acting, didn’t really want to know. The whole “golden child” act was wearing thin. But? For the sake of family, he would try.
“Well… I personally don’t think my presence would benefit either way,” he said honestly. “But, if she wishes, I will be there.”
"I would have to disagree brother, your presence would benefit a great deal...the future Grand Duke...the man for the people...it would only be right in my opinion."
“Well, in that case… Consider it done.”
Alright, he will actually give it a try. After all, Elexa was family, for better or for worse. Who knows? Perhaps they would actually get a breakthrough out of this. Admittedly, a lot of his thinking came from his mother. Since she split from their father, she was bitter. Maybe it spread to him? Who knows.
When the news was out that Morris has appointed Caden to be the next in line for Belviar's Crown, she couldn't believe it. After all Caden has done to Morris in the past, it was shocking to say the least.
@frontpaigeviews

Heavy Is The Head... [Open]
With yet another crowd of people waiting outside the palace gates, Sir. Caden looked out the window and let out a deep sigh. You'd think they'd be gone by now. It's been a whole month.
Needless to say, his older brother's decision to name him as heir apparent was not taken lightly by anyone in Belivar. In addition to the tabloids following every move, there's also the disarray within the family. Of course, his nephew, Morris' son, is upset that he wasn't chosen. In his mind, he was entitled to the spot, but that wasn't the case. To be the Grand Duke, it took maturity, a firm hand, and the ability to handle tough situations. Simply put, the son wasn't ready... and Caden is.
Still, he didn't like when his family wasn't in order. He was sure it was going to settle down sooner or later. Until then, it was business as usual.
It was customary for each house to gift the recipient of a title. Most would have it delivered, but her parents made her deliver their gift. She already knew it was to get her to see if there was a spark, but Lillianna was almost certain it wasn’t going to be. The Countess wasn’t attracted to the men in the Elite. They all seemed the same to her, just different bodies. However, she knew she had a role to play and falling in line was her nature.Â
“He still has an audience, which means he must hasn’t done his first sit down yet.”Â
She knew that the vultures wouldn’t stop pestering until he gave the public something. Lily smiled at herself as the memory about her first sit down crossed her mid. It went better than she thought, and didn’t feel as forced as she thought it would be.Â
Once the car made it through the crowd, she walked to the door and knocked.Â
As he was neatening up his jacket, his doorman knocked on his office door and entered. "Sir Caden... Countess Lillianna of Belfast is here to see you." He nodded his head and motioned for him to let her in. He knew some of the fellow royals would be around to officially greet him. He was still getting used to this since technically he's not even Grand Duke yet (and probably wouldn't be for a long time). However, he did his best.
"Countess, nice to meet you. Please have a seat," he said with a smile. "Would you like anything? Coffee, water?"
As the doorman walked her through the house, Lily took in the interior. She hadn’t told anybody, but she enjoyed interior design. Her father, the duke of Belfast, had her furnish and design his man cave. Wembley’s new appointed heir had good taste from what she could see. The light fixtures could’ve stood out more, and the living curtains weren’t her favorite but for the most part it was appealing to the eye.Â
“Nice to meet you as well.” Lily smiled back. “Water is fine.”Â
She placed the gift bag in her seat before sitting. Caden was cute, her mother always had good taste, but as much as she loved to please her family, she hated when things felt forced.Â
“From the House of Belfast, we would like to congragulate Duke Caden on officially being titled the heir of Wembley.” Lily opened the box and revealed the 12 carat diamond rosary.Â
Caden grabbed a couple bottles of water (the best, of course) and sat beside his company, just as she opened his gift from her family. “Oh wow, this is nice,” he honestly said with a smile. Handing her the water and grabbing the box, he took a closer look. Caden was strong in his faith, so he greatly appreciated the thought put into it.
“Thank you,” he said, looking at her. “I’m truly humbled.” The diamonds were completely flawless. He knew his jewels for sure. “Still an overwhelming feeling, but I’m truly grateful. Thanks again.”
“You’re welcome. The Duke picked it out.” Isis grabbed the bottle, and opened it before taking a sip. The Castle’s and Belviar’s didn’t have any profound family history. Honestly, each time matching season came about the houses had other plans for their single royals. “How are you adjusting to the new attention?”Â
“It’s an adjustment for sure,” he said with a chuckle. “Not like I’m ill-prepared for it. I’m more than capable of handling the pressure. It’s just… sometimes it’s a lot to handle. I’m sure you’re familiar with that.”
