That’s mostly correct. To be specific, I’m abusing the part where not only can ones magic not affect another person, but it also cannot affect the user, what looks like freezing here is more a flexible layer of ice, almost like cloth, that’s connected to my clothes. Unfortunately, I have to continually freeze it with my magic as body heat alone would melt it, but because it always has my magic directly affecting it, It can never directly freeze me as that would be against the Mystic Rights.
It also works rather well as an environmental shield as well as a way to mostly deflect electricity as it can somewhat conduct it.
In all honesty, not many. While I received quite a few injuries, only two look like they’ll scar externally, and only one of the attacks I had to deal with put my life in serious danger.
No. That seems like a terrible gamble, besides we’re around halfway done with this anyway. I only need to last a bit longer.
No. This is a rather abnormal situation. Because the title of “Prince” is so highly coveted, and given that many were unhappy with my appointment to Duke, you can imagine the distain from some of me being Prince.
From there, I don’t know who, but someone found my blog while I was busy getting a tutorial on princely duties. They found the posts around my ice magic and even if they didn’t believe it, something like that is more than enough to start a rumor, and start a rumor it did.
Many practically rioted, claiming I wasn’t a true citizen of Stratoverse, but thankfully Queen Virga happened to be paying Amaryllis a visit the day things became really bad.
In order to quell the unrest, she declared that my position, and in turn citizenship would only be revoked when the title of Prince was stripped from me in combat. I do so wish she had worded that better.
As soon as she left, things calmed for a bit, until someone realized that the Queen had said specifically “combat” not a “duel” which meant that many people against one was technically fair.
I managed to hold my ground for around a month without reveling my abilities in earnest, but when it started becoming 6 on 1 I was forced to confirm the rumors, and now everyone knows.
This last month though was particularly bad. At some point, people stopped caring about any form of organized fight, and all joined together to chase me out, and the only solace I had was escaping to my island to rest, but they eventually found that too. I had to use hit and run tactics to hold them at bay, and it was only then I realized that if I end this M!A everything should return to how it was before I was found out.
So I made that audio post as an announcement, and to try to get a few more asks, and shortly after was...
sigh... This is going on far too long, but anyway, no, princes normally receive very little opposition, including Prince Cirrus, as they’ve proved their strength already by receiving the title.
