But he looked unsettled, jaw clenched and bionic hand clenching and unclenching with jerky, erratic motions that suggested something had gotten really fucked up this time. Maybe even more alarming was the way sparks occasionally flew from the arm.

“I’ve found a sensitive subject haven’t I? Alright, no talk about arms.”

Clint raised his arms in surrender. He handn’t thought about how sensitive the subject must have been for Bucky. His bow wasn’t a apart of him like the other man’s arm and  the archer had forgotten that attachment, could form attachment.

“Lets change subjects, shall we? Want to see the paintball canon?”

Sensitive subject was one way of putting it. At least Barton had the sense to drop the subject, so Bucky tore his gaze away. He was still on edge, but at least he didn’t look ready to tear the poor archer’s head off.

“…Right now?” His gaze flicked toward Clint again, brow furrowed as some combination of agitation, confusion, and frustration contorted his expression. He wasn’t sure if seeing the alleged cannon right now was a good thing or not.

Clint let his hands drop. “Well, we don’t have to go see it now, maybe there’s something else we could get up to to keep ourselves busy. Do you have any ideas?” he asked, tilting his head.

“Like a video game, maybe?“
