member of the adventurer's guild with her brother and a well known map maker. she's the one who mapped out the whole of dragonspine, just because she liked the cold there. doesn't want to go to natlan or sumeru though because of how hot and humid those places are. not good for her fur.

fur? tail? fluffy. the absolute fluffiest. takes extreme pride in it and will spend an hour brushing her fur to perfection. has a note full of different products her brother brought in his travels for her to test out. has even ranked brushes. strangely one of the few things she will never forget.

very feline-like. leans heavily on her katzlein bloodline; will nibble on her tail in thought, will find the warmest place to take naps, will participate in the cat meetings where they talk about conquering the world - i mean what??

doesn't really remember much about her youth. knows she does, or did? have parents and grandparents but doesn't know what happened to them. only knows her brother. said brother has never brought them up again. and because she's a good and obedient girl, she would never ask him.

gossip? yes please. tell her everything. her brother isn't here to filter information.

her bear plush? that's a weapon! not a "throw it at someone" weapon but a magic one. her catalyst!

forgive her if she forgets you after an initial meeting. it takes a while before she starts to remember faces. she will write you in her book if you're interesting enough. will even make small doodles so it's easier for her to put a face to a name.

It was only when he was close to her that Lyney noticed the Vision she carried with her. Oh, so he had found a fellow traveler from Teyvat? That was interesting. Despite noticing this, the magician chose to say nothing, offering her a gentle smile instead. "You're quite right. But that is precisely why exploring these areas is fun, don't you think?" -his voice betrayed no suspicion, even as his mind was hard at work. The shape of that Vision was distinct, yet Lyney was still trying to recall which region it hailed from. "Oh, really? If it's not too much trouble!" -more than finding a way out, Lyney was now intrigued by the person he had just encountered.

"I'm Lyney, by the way." He wondered if she would recognize his name.

lyney?? ears flicked quickly ; that was a familiar name but where had she heard it from?? if a part of her recognized it , that meant this one was from teyvat , the same as her. a quick glance over him was given ; no visible vision seen , at least from the front. clothing-wise , he seemed very much like ... a magician. top hat. checkered patterns. a performer?? ❛ fon ... tainian?? ❜

To Sandrone, this was the only reason she could imagine someone would be this persistent when it came to being in her space. In that sense, this girl reminded her a little bit of Columbina and her insistence on hanging about even though the Marionette had plainly expressed her distaste towards the company.

Normally she'd just use Pulonia to remove someone this incessant but she was sadly without a robot to do so with.

"Are you planning on running me in circles until I give up and let you hang around? I'm well aware of that tactic, you know!? So state what your intention is here. Don't you have any friends or anything to spend time with?"

was she after special favors?? was there something the harbinger could give her?? the adventurer had to think on it for a moment , tail flicking left and right before pausing. nothing came to mind. oh!! maybe she wanted something from katheryne?? could that be the reason?? ... no , artemista didn't need anything from the other , not that she could get anything right now anyhow.

❛ no favors wanted ... ... but you were the one who reached out first?? ❜ the marionette had been the one to call her out first , probably having seen her vision but now it was her who wanted something?? perhaps ... artemista had wanted some form of familiarity the other had from katheryne. perhaps.

Through the island's social media landscape, word of an amazing limited-time treat for both people and pets was spread. To Jacinthe, it looked like a lovely little cookie with a cute design. She knew immediately that she needed to get that cookie into her adorable Clefairy's hands, and set out to buy it. However, when she arrived...

The very last limited-time cookie ended up in a young woman's hands. Jacinthe was appalled to be several people back in line when the news was announced. Unwilling to merely wait a day, she stepped out of the line and approached the lucky stranger.

"Bon après-midi! I will get right to the point." If she didn't, it could be eaten before she did!

"How much Dust would you require for you to part with that tasty treat?"

a very pleased and soft rumble rolled in her chest when given the final special cookie , fluffy tail making small circles by her shoes. when artemista heard there was a limited-time cookie , especially from her current favorite bakery , she knew she had to go. as an adventurer , she had to experience such a treasure at least once!! and lucky she was , obtaining the final one.

how adorable!! she almost felt bad about wanting to eat it. almost. however , just as she was about to leave the line , wanting to find a quiet place to relish in her victory , another customer stopped her. and ... what a request , wanting to buy the cookie from her.

( her tail would pause , now flicking and thumping against her legs )

❛ eh?? ah , it's not for sale ... ❜ a soft murmur left her lips , holding the cookie closer to her chest. if this were a normal treat , she would not hesitate to break it in half but this?? breaking it would be a crime!!

yummy!! this cafe truly had the best cakes!! not too sweet nor not too expensive either. fluffy tail would thump against her chair in glee , light little thumps that could barely be heard through the soft chatter of other customers. and it looked like she wasn't the only one enjoying what this cafe had to offer , though , on the beverage end. from the scent alone , it seemed to be coffee.

⚙ "I... would actually say that we don't resemble each other at all." Was this kid seeing something that she wasn't? She had intentionally designed the Katherynes to avoid the possibility of the guild tracing them back to her, else she would lose her ability to spy on them whenever it fancied her. Then again, she had only really been using them to keep track of the Traveler these days anyways.

And now she was being thanked for it???

"Well, their affairs aren't mine beyond a select few. It isn't like I had anything to do with that one helping you or anything, it was just a coincidence. I'm a Harbinger, remember? Har-bing-er! Not someone to cozy up to."

why was miss harbinger still bringing up the fact she was such?? were they stating their professions?? was there something she was missing?? her brother always said that thing went over her head so ... maybe it was like that?? normally , he'd be here to explain things for her but ... he wasn't. she was going to have to figure this out herself.

with how much company from Mondstadt had been with them in Nod-Krai, it felt almost natural that the girl would come from the same Nation — a little poetry that brought a smile to Paimon's face.

✦it's alright. Paimon gets it. this is a completely different place, and you can't be sure if you're looking at someone you know or someone who just happens to look a lot like them.✦ but with the elaboration of the Knights of Favonius, and uttering their title for the Traveler, there was no room left for uncertainty.

✦Artemista? that's a beautiful name. it's a shame we've never come across each other while checking in with the Adventurer's Guild. but we're planning on spending some time in Mondstadt, so maybe that'll change.

❛ i always seem to just miss you and the traveler. when you first arrived to mondstadt , i was situated in dragonspine and when i had returned , you were already on your way to liyue. ❜ and the other times they returned , during the windblume festivals , she was elsewhere with her brother , in other regions to expand her map. quite literally , only just missing them.

( her tail would curl around her waist , tip tapping against her side in a moment of annoyance before unfurling with a sigh )

❛ ah. before i was brought here , i was in mondstatd myself so maybe?? if there's a way to return home. ❜ from recollection , and a quick flip through her notebook , she wasn't in any rush to leave home ... so she could , hypothetically wait for them to arrive?? but they were meeting now so ... did they have to wait when they made their way home??

Exploring new places had always been fun for Lyney and his siblings. Surrounded by memories of Freminet and Lynette, whose presence the great magician of Fontaine missed every day, he ventured through the forest without much thought. He had taken the time to make a bow and arrows for himself, accustomed to the feeling of having them on his back. But the truth is, he didn't even intend to use them, delighting in a fruit he had found along the way.

Speaking of it… He had lost his way a while ago and wasn't quite sure where he was. Not that this was a problem for Lyney, of course not.

So, he was moving aimlessly when his eyes caught sight of a feminine figure with a feline tail. His heart raced for a moment, his eyes widening, only to realize a second later that she had nothing to do with Lynette. Still, he approached, waving. “Hey there! I didn't think I'd find someone so deep in this woods,” he said, offering her a smile.

"By the way, do you happen to know an easy way to get out of here?"

as an adventurer , and a katzlein , artemista had to admit , she was more at ease when surrounded by the forest. or perhaps , she just wanted to take a nap. hm. a nap sounded nice. there was a lovely spot of moss not too far from here , where the sun always kept warm. it was normally crowded by other animals but she had taken a nap there once or twice. they wouldn't mind.

... hm. but if she took a nap now , she would ruin her sleep schedule tonight and that wouldn't do.

but a nap ...

lost in thought , the girl almost missed the sound of grass parting beneath shoes , an ear flicking back towards it. it had to be a person , the step was too heavy to be an animal. but ... also strangely lighter then most?? almost like her brother's , still a bit heavy. with curiosity , she turned her gaze over to the ... magician?? what a lovely hat.

⚙ "Any dealings with the Adventurer's Guild should go through the Katherynes. Don't look at me." The last thing she had expected to see in this city was someone associated with the guild (at least one that wasn't the Traveler). And she was carrying a Snezhnaya Vision as well? Sandrone didn't see that place as her "home" or anything, but it was effectively her "home base" in a sense.

She was kind of kicking herself for starting this conversation on her own. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her. Establishing the common fact that she was from Teyvat as well had made it easier to get the girl to open up, but...

"Have you figured out that I'm one of the Fatui Harbingers yet, or am I going to have to spell that out too?"

oh , artemista definitely figured out that the woman before her was a fatui harbinger , one of the people her brother had warned her about. but this woman was affiliated with katheryne , even looked like her. katheryne always treated her well back in mondstadt , that was enough for her to place the harbinger at just a few notches below the receptionist in her list of ... people.

she really should rename that list , huh??

tail flicked slightly before the katzlein nodded , an answer to the other's ... question wasn't correct nor incorrect. ❛ i know. you look like katheryne. or , she looks like you?? ❜ that would make this woman katheryne's mother , correct?? when meeting a parent , how should she proceed?? ❛ katheryne's always looked after my brother and i when we first became adventurers so uhm ... thank you?? for creating her?? ❜

Anya groans in response at first, continuing to lay there on the floor. She rolls over, but remains flopped over and limp, cheek squished against the floor miserably. The lady seems nice, a little too concerned for Anya's state of misery, but nice.

Maybe she knows where the comics are...

Unfortunately, Anya's legs are too tired and she's been walking around for so long. She should have brought peanuts, but libraries don't like when you bring food into them so she'd thought she was being smart by leaving them at home.

"I just wanted to see if there were any spy comics... but I got lost and now I'm tired." She looks up at the lady, not noticing the tail or ears right away. "Where are the comics... and the door? I can't remember how to leave."

oh dear , the child's placed her face on the floor. that was really not hygienic ... sucking back the urge to hiss in dismay , artemista instead crouched down , bringing herself closer to the girl as a form of comfort. at least , to the child's neck. since she was on her back now , it wouldn't hurt but she was sure children wouldn't like people looming over them , especially strangers.

❛ comics?? in this kind of library , i don't think there would be. ❜ ah , so she was a lost child. tongue pressed against her teeth in thought , the adventurer turned her gaze to where the exit was. quite a few bookshelves away. the girl walked quite a distance before giving up. ❛ i can take you outside. it's a bit of a walk though , with how deep in the library we currently are. ❜

you could almost call this the restricted area. but not really , that was closed off much further in.

✧ The girl's curiosity didn't necessarily take Mornye off-guard. It was quite the contrary, seeing as she was a professor. She was accustomed to being surrounded by curious minds. It took her a moment to figure out where to begin. "Well... The Roya Frostlands are situated at one of Solaris-3's poles. They're typically inhospitable, but the people moved into the underground settlement of Lahai-Roi."

It was a land near and dear to her. It was her home.

"Even though we live underground, we have a digital sky and an artificial sun. We have an famous academy there as well." If she was the type to gloat, she would have immediately mentioned her role in those systems. "Of course, most nations live on the surface. Lahai-Roi is a unique case."

humans living underground due to inhospitable environments and weather conditions ... it sounded a little bit sad , having to leave their homes like that. but the thought of a fake sky , made artemista feel even worse. while her memories of snezhnaya were a little fragmented , the cold was never bad enough that the civilians had to make refuge elsewhere. was the " solaris-3 poles " really that bad??

❛ why were the poles inhospitable?? ❜ was there something similar to the abyss in the other's world?? or was it an eventual climate change?? or maybe , there was some great enemy that made its home there that caused people to leave?? .. hm , maybe she had read too many of klee's fantasy novels before her arrival here ... ❛ do you think you will be able to relocate home again?? eventually?? ❜

❛ an academy , huh ... teyvat doesn't have that many from what i recall ... the major one i know of is the sumeru akademiya but i haven't been there. mainly due to climate and how my fur would react to humid temperatures ... ❜

what rotten luck... to find such a delicious-looking selection on display, only to discover Lumine's phone had been left behind at the condo... stubborn as ever, Paimon had managed to persuade the Traveler to seize the item just in case an emergency popped up. and of course, she was on cake watch duty! surely a fitting reward for scouting for any trouble.

never mind that her craving for the cake had her glued to the window.

the sense of being watched crept over Paimon after a moment, peeling herself away and turning to find the young woman. what began as surprise settled after the flinch in recognising there wasn't anything to be afraid of — nothing about the other screamed reason to be wary or feel threatened.

her eyes shifted in search of a way to draw attention elsewhere, especially from that little cloud of condensation marking the glass where her breath had stuck. while darting around, she caught a glimpse of something silver — something familiar.

❛ ah. ❜ perhaps staring wasn't the best thing to do , given how the small fairy flinched ever so slightly when they made eye contact. so , adventurer would turn her gaze away , thinking , maybe it would be best to leave lest a misunderstanding were to happen. however , it looked like something caught the companion fairy's attention , namely her vision which hung around her neck.

gray eyes blinked , ears flicking as her brain caught up with the situation. ❛ y-yes , i am. and ... so are you ... ❜ there was another pause before artemista continued. ❛ ... sorry , i didn't expect you to notice?? nor call out?? and , uhm , sorry for staring. i've heard about you , from the knights of favonius. you and the traveler , i mean. ❜

Who's idea was it to make a library this big? Anya just wanted to find some comics and asked all over about libraries, and got let to this one... but it's too big! And all the books there are too old and boring looking, there's not a single kid's book in sight.

Anya isn't even sure where the front door is again, she's been wandering around so long...

So she did the only thing she could: lay down on the floor and stare at the ceiling bored out of her mind.

"I thought it'd be easier to find the comics..." She complains to herself, arms splayed out. She exhales heavily. "I should have asked New Papa to come with me... 'm tired now." Maybe she can nap right there... maybe she'll wake up back home or something. Or maybe someone will come find her. She left a note saying where she was going to be...

panther ears flicked at the sound of a child talking ; it wasn't that hard to hear , honestly , with how quiet the library was. but it was odd ; children didn't normally , willingly , make their way to the great library. at least , not without their parent. so when a parent's voice didn't follow the child's , artemista grew both curious and concerned. was it really a lost child??

deciding to find the child , the adventurer , returning her book back to the shelf , followed the child's murmurs before finding her on the floor , arms spread out like a starfish. she paused , tail curling ever so slightly in confusion as she tried to understand what she was witnessing. a child having a tantrum??

as an adventurer , specifically a map maker , the opportunity to learn about other world's landmarks , their own nations , civilization , stories – the easiest way to explain how she was feeling could be summarized into in a few words. she has ascended to teyvat. if her brother were here , he would immediately laugh at her ( or his equivalent of a laugh , more of a chuff really ) at how her ears were perked so tall , how her tail couldn't stop flicking in interest.

how she couldn't stop squeezing her teddy bear's replacement , unable to decide what to do with her hands. should she take out a notebook to write this down?? wouldn't that be rude??

ah. she's there again , that music student. feline ears twitched at the sound of a guitar ringing through the halls. originally , when artemista heard it the first time , she wondered if it was the rumored " music ghost " wandering the building she had heard about. it wasn't until questioning a member of her fan club ( who just so happens to be a music student themselves ) that she learned of the quiet student who stayed behind.
